• Today is dragging
    My brain is lagging
    In thoughts behind my mind

    This place is draining
    My time is waning
    In this place lost in time

    This cave is a tunnel
    I’m lost in this funnel
    In the darkness inside these 4 walls

    I’m looking for bait
    To find an escape
    In this place I see as hell

    The walls are closing
    
My thoughts are corroding
    
And time has forgotten my name

    I’m following signs

    That I know aren’t mine
    
Still chasing the end of the maze

    I crawl through the dark
    
Just looking for a spark
    
A crack in the stone or a flame

    But the further I go

    The less that I know
    
And the exit keeps moving away

    So I follow the light
    
That’s fading from sight
    
Down a hallway that circles itself

    Till I finally see
    
What’s waiting for me

    A door with a sign saying “Hell”

    And I reach for the knob

    With a laugh at the thought
    
That perhaps I was never inside

    For the door isn’t locked
    
And the hallway has stopped
    
But there’s nowhere to go on the other side.
