The girl with a tight grasp,
On times that have passed.
Remembering a pair of umber eyes on a lovely night.
She truly believed it would be alright.
The words dancing off your lips were true,
The night you said she will always be a part of you.
The next morning you ripped her heart out again.
The girl with an unending broken heart,
Had a hurtful start.
Forever will people think she is the one to blame,
But those who know the truth will never push her into shame.
Loneliness began to take over.
Heartache began to consume her.
Never again will she be well.
A ghost from her past, now corporeal,
May save her from hellish heartache so surreal.
He claims to have forsake his darker side,
With a promise to see the death of Hyde.
He tries to show a man of love not lust.
He aspires to be someone she can trust,
Proving love doesn't die.

- Title: Love Doesn't Die
- Artist: she_has_thorns
- Description: This actually compares two guys. The first and second stanzas describe a guy who I had once fell for very deeply, but I found him to be mean and dishonest after a while. I had a hard time moving past it, and then someone from my past who I thought worse came back into my life teaching me to forgive and let go.

- it's rare that someone is handed such a poetically convenient situation, you've capitalized on it fairly well. i like the contrast between the chronology of the poem and actual events.
