• I remember seeing snow for the first time..
Reaching my arms up at the sky, and twirling about, trying to claim every flurry as mine..

I remember ice-skating for the first time..
Holding on to my brother for dear life, for fear I would fall right through the cold ice..

This winter has given me many new experiences,
    Helped me through broken alliances..
Made me fall, when I was stumbling
    And my heart was crumbling..

But with every mistake, a lesson is learned,
    No matter how painful..
No matter how much I've cried and yearned,
I know now every moment was individually purposeful,

    By New Year's Eve..
I shall rise and prosper, because I believe,
My wretch of a heart is healing fast..
Life's about to change, the sky is losing its bland overcast.

I remember seeing snow for the first time..
Reaching my arms up to the sky, and twirling about, trying to claim every flurry as mine..
