• You sit in your room.
The wind howls in the night.
    Scratching on the door.
    Ghoulish sounds.

    Louder they grow.
    More terrifying they are.
    You cover your ears.
    You cover your eyes.
    A crack of lighting.
But not a cloud in the sky.
    Moonlight oozes in.
    Ever so slowly.

    Tis not a full moon.
    Tis not a friday.
    Nor the thirteenth.
    Sitting away.
    The clock striking.
    Hollow and old.
    Not clock in sight.
    You sit still.

    Holding back a scream.
    Not your home.
    Not your chair.
    Your in the boogeyman's lair.
    Oh me, Oh my.
    The moonlight goes black.
    A voice beckons out.
"Do not move, Do not breathe
Do not scream, Or it will be your demise."

    A flash of light.
    You see a girl. Innocent.
    White dress and ribbons.
    A toy in hand.
At the end of the light.
Her eyes go black as night.
    You stay still.
Two flashes go by and she comes closer to you.
    Singing flatly.

    Staring deep into you.
    Hungry.
    Coming closer.
    Closer.
Until you let out a shriek.
A crack of lightning then thunder.
    You made no sound.
    The innocent little girl.

    Now so twisted and vile.
A Knife from the doll's head.
    She sings on.
    Drawing near.
Until she is just in front of you.
    A scream of fright.
    No light.
    No night.

    A glint.
    You scream.
    Now sitting up in bed.
There she sits at the end of your bed.
    Twisted grin.
    Bloodied dress.
    Whispering softly,
    "Good Night."
    See your own demise.
    By the boogeyman's eyes.
