• Sleep,
    A joy to many and
    Blessing to others,
But unto me it's a curse

    A hideous monster
From which I try to hide.

    A dark creature that
    Creeps and crawls upon me,
    Changing me from myself
    And creating a monster,
    A beast without remorse.

    When my eyes close
    And consciousness leaves me

I become something that I fear,
    An unstoppable being
    With an undying bloodlust
    And murderous intent.

It is a joy to some,
    A blessing to them,
But to me, it is only death,
    My one and only fear
    And my other's awakening,

    Sleep.
