Daddy said, "It's me or her."
You know that I don't want you hurt,
so just pick him; I'll be okay.
I don't deserve you anyways.
I will still wait for you.
I will still cry for you.
I'll take your hand;
I understand.
I will still hope for us.
I will still pray for us.
You know what they say;
love will always find a way.
Know that you've changed me.
You've rearranged me.
I'll never forget you. Never.
Loving you is all I'll remember.
"Don't cry," is what you said at first,
but now our roles have been reversed.
So now I'll say it: Please don't cry.
If it's meant to be, all will be alright.
I'll pray; you'll pray
night and day.
Love will find a way.
Daddy said, "It's me or her."
Please, oh please, just don't get hurt.

- Title: Find a Way
- Artist: Metaphoric Rain

Description:
Oh lovely, lovely barriers.
Religion, distance, and stubbornness to name a few. They said that first loves and long-distance relationships don't work out, but if we can clean this mess up then we'll find a way. I doubt you can read this; your dad took your way to get on the Internet and I doubt you even know I have a Gaia account, but know that I love you. Always and forever.

- This poem's one in a hundred, I'm glad I read this. I like it a lot. It has a lot of feeling behind it and I even felt sad for you. There are a few things I would change, line-wise (Such as use a one-word line instead of a comma or period to seperate), but that's just the way I would do it, and to each their own. I'm giving it 5/5
