• ~part 1~

Salty drops rain to the floor in a storm utter of confusion
A little girl lost in the dark who cannot reach a conclusion
Trapped behind a mask of plaster created for her own good
She hides her face from all the world because all have said she should
But know a hammer lies by her side begging to be used
To shatter the mask and all its shame, ending the abuse
She cradles in one hand the thought of freedom, The other the thought of change
And wonders if it would simply be best if she just remained the same
Fear follows the hammer wherever it seems to rest
Casting shadows down the room of destroying the cell she's always known best
Casting shadows of her future and all that she has dreamed
Though without the hammer there are no shadows because all will remain the same
She will forever rest in her chamber All life will be her prison
Locked behind this mask of plaster never to be risen
Sure there is no danger but there will be no change
She weighs her options thouroughly before she makes her exchange
One mask for freedom, one hammer for life
She shatters her walls, and reveals the light
And what she sees and what she feels seems to take all breath away
A warm fuzziness follows the light, as a smile spreads across her face
Not one molded to fit her peers, but one she had made on her own
This was a real happiness that beat in her heart begging to be shown
