• I saw you sitting alone
I came over and said “hey”
You looked up at me incredulously
Like you wanted me to go away

I turned to walk back home
And you called for me to wait
I turned to look back at you
You said “everyone sees me with hate”

I asked “what reason do I have to hate you”
You shrugged and then you sighed
Then I sat down right next to you
You said “let’s play seek and hide”

    So we grew up together
    Always together, ne’er apart
    Our friendship never broken
You always giggled when I’d fart

I missed you when we’d part each day
I’d be elated when we met again
And every day I thought to myself
“I’m lucky to have you as a friend”

But now we’re old with hair of gray
We’re too sore to have any fun
So now we don’t see each other as much
But to me, you’re still number one

I lie in bed for the final time
And watch as you limp to my side
I look at you as you smile and say
“I’m glad we played seek and hide”
