• The Never Ending Night

to the bone the wind does chill, taken there against her will.
wandered off the path of light, wandered to the endless night.
there's no return from here on out, there is no rain to fill this drought.
all is dead, no life exists, in the most perfected bliss.

darkness fills the void of night, it never ends, no hope in sight.
so slowly it does consume, her to her ending doom.
nothing lives in this place, forever death it mandates.
nightmares that lie within, coaxed out by even feeble sin.

all is shown, nothing hid, stripped away, none forbid.
the darkness shows what none can hide, your inner self, you can't deny.
but not all can take what darkness shows, not all except the life they've sewn.
so when visits come, they soon do leave, knowing life means more to thee then thy eyes can fully see.
