With my tools
I built my house
And then I hid them
In my garage
My house has a shingle for every board
The roof sags
For this reason
I still like the construction
Geckos come from miles around
To sun themselves on my shingles
The Geckos attract some cool cats
The difficulty is keeping the cats from eating
The Geckos
When the sun sank
The cats wanted dinner,
Lizards escaped the slaughter
By crawling in my windows
For their sacrifice I lent them my room
Then the cats pawed at my door
For their misdeed I gave them my garage
The Geckos sleep on my bed
The cats sleep in my garage
With my tools
I sleep on the shingles
With the stars
With the moon
With my dreams

- its like a cause and effect of good intentions and the sacrifices we make for those things. either that or this is just some trippy psycological run around that made me think those things. it's seemingly simple in delivery and rather blah on the surface, but it's the deeper meaning of it that i like. it makes you wonder what it's about then takes you further as you start to analyze and question, search, for its hidden meanings. yays you!5/5
