• Gazing out upon a crimson sunset
I lose myself in its expanse
How can the sky be so big
    And I'm so small?

I glance up into the coming night
And wonder if the stars are lonely too
There are so many stars in the sky
But could it be there's one star like me?

A star that wishes and dreams
That looks and sees so many
But not even one for itself
A star that's lost and lonely.

    A star that feels forgotten
    Alone in utter darkness
    Trying fervently to bring light
And find someone to share the lonely night.
