• If the summer heat doesn’t kill me im sure ill freeze in winter
And if I live to see the spring I will thank you for keeping me here
Im sure someone is going to kill me soon
Be it myself or another human being

I spent so much time this summer trying to find my ground
So im sorry if im crazy but give me a chance to speak
Or just turn away like the rest
But I kept a straight face and I can’t stand to argue when the arguments are wars
People fighting people instead of holding hands

And if you feel surrounded well that’s because you are
Behind every corner theres a prison every school a police car
Ive seen s lot of bad things happen since I learned how to relate
And every ever my heart grows heavier with all this hate and depression

So let you be my reminder that in day I will see my fear and take it out by the night
And you know it feels like everyone is so quick to find someone they would like to kill
And you know im sick of this system of profit and demand
Yay every time a union worker is laid off a sweat shops open up in Nam

And if the winter doesn’t kill me ill be happy you are in the spring
So let me be happy to sing and dance
You know with every bomb that falls on Bagdad my life looses a week
I spent so much time fighting and im giving up
Im always told I should and pick a new one
But I just can’t give up
I dream of a new world for all of you and you seem not to want freedom

I’ve been sickened by this madness
Fact is fiction and most kids don’t know which is which
Then again we only know what is when it comes to a book
Then again they make those books
    So what is true?

Yea you know a new world is going to come and crush this government
And im standing up for it
So for now lets just be happy to have a dream and hope
