-
He ebbs and flows, never stops
calm and serene, or angered and vindictive
He mercilessly destroys, He is so gentle
churning waves of blue and green
with foamy finger tips, He reaches out
no end, no beginning, only He
ever changing- He's never the same
when we meet, feelings rush back
forever more He dwells in my heart
the rhythms played by lapping waves,
He calls me to home

- Title: The Ocean
- Artist: Sachi Senshi
- Description: This is just a free verse poem I had to write for an English portfolio. Though it could use a proper title, it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. A friend read it and swore up and down it was about my current boyfriend...but I wrote it about the ocean (obviously). It's about the ocean I'm extremely fond of, a place that carries with it sea-scented memories of my childhood.

- Wow, I really like you're poem. I also grew up going to the ocean a lot and I know what you're describing. Good job!
