• I heard a whisper of something I did not know,
It spoke of things I feared to show.
I turned away with no wish to hear,
That perhaps I could lose all my fears.

The whisper followed wherever I went,
Until I thought, my heart was spent.
It spoke of promises unknown to me,
Things I thought could never be.

The whisper spoke to my heart,
And made the promise to take my part.
I looked around; I had to know
Could the whisper make me whole?

The whisper soothed all my fears,
Bringing hope through all my tears.
I had to know who took my part,
Willing to heal this broken heart.

The whisper spoke of love and joy,
I feared my heart was just a toy.
Could I dare to take a chance,
Or should I stop and take a stance?

I felt the whispers loving touch
Something I yearned for so very much
I closed my eyes and heard the beat,
Of a love so true, a major feat.

The whisper gently spoke my name
I knew nothing would ever be the same.
My heart would take a chance on love divine,
The whisper came to me just in time.

The whisper said I’m here for you,
I promise my words are true.
I opened my eyes to make a start
To share my no longer broken heart.

I found the whisper smiling at me,
I wondered how this could be.
He’d been there waiting all along
    His whispers making me strong.

My whisper said, “I love you”
My heart knew his words to be true.
    All my fears melted away,
And in my heart, he’ll always stay.
