• So what, he's supposed to be happy now?
He's got his girl back, his best friend by his side.
    Restored it all, hasn't he?
Well why don't you test it out.
Grab this pale, and fill it to the brim with water.
Walk over and splash it on his face.
    Then what do you witness?
The smile smeared, running, and dripping off his face.
Only to reveal a sad clown, with a chip on his shoulder.

Going day by day, masquerading himself.
Shrouded in mystery, when he walks into the room it's too hard to tell whether or not he'll be a downer.
Or if he'll catch you off guard, and completely ditch the depression, temporarily, in order to get laughs.
Replenish some peace inside of him, only to have it torn down the minute he lays in his bed at night.

    Another dark day in October.
Desolated, he stares outside the window pane, watching the rain hit the glass and bounce off.
    A resounding within.
********, he wants some pills again, life was so much easier when the addiction was alive.
Darkness holds him back from venturing back into the bathroom.
Where looking into the mirror, he'd sneer at the reflection, different from what everyone else sees.
Because in that reflection, the Shadow is no longer hidden.
Not fighting to claw his way out.
The Shadow is it's own person, beginning to corrupt him.
Taunting him constantly, every waking moment.
The reason for the pills consumed as they have been so many times before.

    Another dark day in June.
Secluded, he stares outside the window pane, watching the rain hit the glass and bounce off.
    A Revival within.
s**t, he wants some pills again, life was so much easier when the addiction was alive.
Friendship holds him back from venturing back into the bathroom.
Instead, a light shines in the dark.
Answering the phone, and spends the potential night of his demise to talk to the Spark that saved him.
Reminded him what life he'd leave behind.
    Friends he'd leave behind.
    Love he'd leave behind.
Things left unresolved, he'd never fix them.

The pursuit of happiness is a long and winding road.
Full of many disappointments and illusions that can make even the most enthusiastic person grow tired.
It's even harder on the people who have fallen into a ditch early on.
Illusions block the mind from seeing the ultimate prize awaiting just around the corner.
Just remember Change is around the corner, just when things begin to look the worst.
