Wish Upon A Star

• Description: Old, old, OLLLD poem I wrote in September '08. I basically was listening to some calming music and watched as my fingers danced across my keyboard. Not much I can say about this poem according to what it's about, since it's pretty much a narrative and you could understand it if you read it.

I just sit here and listen,
Listen to my surroundings as well as the music in the background.
I think about you and I,
Laying out outside next to each other staring up at the starlit sky,
I wish upon a star...
I wish I was yours and you were mine,
That we could be together...
I wish that I could be with you forever,
To hold you in my arms,
To have time freeze and stop with you for this one moment.
I wish I could escape from all this drama,
And just run away with you.
Far...far away.
Away from this place and along with you.
I wish I could hold your hand,
And feel comforted by being with you.
I wish that when I'm with you,
All the pain would go away.
I would be there for you, and you would be there for me.
I wish for all of these things in my own little world.
I hope and wish for it to happen...
Trying to run away from reality as fast as I can.
Trying to escape my darkness and my void.
Then I realize I can't run from reality.
Haha...Silly me, wishes don't come true.
