• The sunsets
    And the sun rises.
    A new day
    Full of new surprises.
Not sure if I’ll make it through
    Unless I’m next to you,
    Knowing your okay
    Day after day.

    As we walk along,
We hear an all too familiar song,
    Playing somewhere far away,
Playing on a long ago day.

    We hear it playing,
    We see ourselves swaying
To the beat of the drum,
Not knowing what is next to come.
    Drawn to one another,
Like a lost child to its mother.

    Our bodies meet
And we move to the beat,
    Not caring about passer-buyers
As the wind blows and flyers
    Fall to the ground,
    Tumbling, tumbling down.

    Soon were gone from here,
    Back in a different year,
    Not really noticing,
    Not really caring,
    As long as we're near
Neither of us will shed a tear.
