• She sits all alone,
    inside of her head,
    where everything's perfect,
    and nothing's to dread.

    She drowns out the noise,
    of the yelling downstairs,
    her parents keep fighting,
and for her no one cares.

    She wipes away her tears,
    so no one can see,
she doesn't want to be a burden,
but it's so hard not to be.

    She thinks of her friend,
who had been her only lifeline,
    but had too much pain,
    and committed suicide.

    She has no emotion,
    only a mask,
    she wants to tell someone,
    but no one will ask.

So she lives on in agony,
    never letting it show,
    and only hopes that someday,
she can let it all go.
