Endless Space

I gaze out into the sky.

It is a vast labyrinth
In which the stars glide.

My mind wanders afar.

As my eyes focus
On a small, but bright, star

I wonder about this place...

What would it be like to live there,
up in the endless space?

I like it! You should write poetry more often. It's a wonderful thing, even if no one ever sees them but you.

You mentioned that you wrote this during a poetry unit at school. Those things have the right idea, but they end up trying to teach you rules which your writings must conform to in order to be considered poetry. That is ridiculous. Write poetry how you want, about what you want, whenever you want. It's great!
