• He looks at me, with broken eyes
Not knowing what I look like
He steps towards me and hits the glass door
I blink and see that he is blind. All I can do is try not to cry
He seems so helpless, looks like he needs a friend,
A friend to help him turn life's long bend
I wait a second, he was about to go
Until he heard the click of the door.
He turned in circles feeling around
I took his hand and helped him in, and that's when we became friends
He was blind, I was not. I was the one to help in through this knot
To give him a hand when he couldn't see.
As time went on we split apart.
We moved away, to to far.
But one day, I visited home.
And there you were near my door. A lady beside you smiling brightly.
Was that it could it be?
I walked to you and let you in. That when I found out your wife was having twins.
A quiver from my soft pink lips and the thudding of my feet. I was up in my old room from when I was a little girl.
He had a wife and soon two kids. I waited to long to pull you in. You were the fish that was mine, I slacked off and you got off my line!
