• The night, his cover, the dark, his silk
It guards his face, from those of his ilk
His fellow thieves are cutthroats, vile
They're out to steal his precious smile

It was his fault though, after all
He'd acted far too proud and tall
He felld their leader, in the night
To seize control, his weapon fright

They didn't enjoy that very much
The graces of his deadly touch
And set out to kill the traitorous fool
Who'd tried to seize the sacred tool

The plot to kill the head thief, Franz
A distraction, a front, to hide his plans
To use the thieves, gain subtle power
By stealing the ancient, green jaded flower

But that didn't go over too well
With things like this, you can never tell
So now he's on the run again
Instead of wolves, it's from his friends

His cloak is ruined, his life in shambles
He's cut from darting in the brambles
He's getting tired, fatigue rears up
He stops to rest, when offered a cup

He doesn't know the face he sees
But the gentle eyes fill him with glee
A safe haven, in this dark wood?
He'll take the help, a sane man should

Quickly, he tells his tale of tales
His new friend nods, he'll help without fail
He grabs the thief, and casts a spell
To ward his foes, and hide their trail

They move back through, into seclusion
When finally his friend, creates illusion
An endless glade filled with his desires
Is set ablaze, all catches fire

    Money, women, power, glory
Melt away in his twisted story
As it all goes, his memory fades
The brightest colors are naught but shade

As punishment for his bloodsoaked crime
He'll be at a loss, as he does the time
Tortured, and beaten, he won't know why
They'll laugh in glee, he'll start to cry

His skin a mess, his face is burnt
His brain torn to learn the lesson he'd learnt
But he'll never know what he's meant to know
The greatest torture, to reap what he didn't know, he'd sew
