• She's the bird
How far she can fly, how free she may seem
Dancing feathers reaching the ground, like snow
She was the perfect description of a bird
Such a beauty painting the sky

All I can do when I fall into sleep
Is dream about her, so close to heaven
Yet I'm so far in hell, looking through the watching hole
And I wonder in my dreams
About how demons can reach the sun.

One day, he did, I saw it
He looked up to her, glowing what he thought his affection
Towards her radiance, finally perched next to her
    Yet she feared
Her eyes saw a shadow with eyes shot red

To her he was the cager
His eyes spat out cruelty, his wings spoke war
Sickening was his hand, reaching out to grab her by the legs
    So she flew
    Higher to the sun

    And what followed
Was the fool demon, burdened with how she saw him
Such a foul beast, a ugly thing that must go away
    He cried rain
Flying so high to explain what he was

Love you till my skin burns
Hate what you see in me, hate that you see this being
Looking at me with the paradise you glimmer, deep in hollow eyes
    Flying so high
Towards the angel too high towards the sun

    And last it saw
Was her turn back, glancing at something disturbing
    Something charred, something already broken
    That fell down
    Back to that lonely place
