• I was walking in the rain and crossed the street. A car was swirving toward me, and i was stuck like a deer in the bright headlights. My life flashed before my eyes, seeming to slow the rotation of the earth itself. Death of loved ones, death of friends, illness, disease, orphany, accidents, fatal mistakes, acquaintances, and the best of all; a boy. A special boy. I met him at five, I fell in love, at that exact moment, when our gazes locked and he held mine, as I held his. He never left my side, we shared life, love, hunger, thoughts, fights, and then it hit me. It was a realization; I'd been missing something, something all along, he, that boy, never let me down. I love him and always will. And he loves me back. I darted out of the way just in time, before the car hit me. He didn't let me down, I wouldn't either.

I walk along the edge. If I slip, I fall to my death. That got me thinking, it's so very easy for a human to perish. I stopped to a halt. There was someone in front of me. I started running full speed toward the black figure. I was no more than a yard away, when I tripped. He flew around as I screamed. He made a dash towards me and caught my wrist before I plummeted to my death. Then I saw his face, I knew every detail, every curve, every arc, every hair, every shine, every scar, every inch, every feature, every bone. He was the boy I love. "I will catch you whenever you shall fall. Whether you slip or jump," he said. He laughed lowly. Gently, as if I were made of porcelain, he lifted me from the edge of the cliff and set me straight on my feet. He slung me over his back and started off toward the peak. We were there before I could bat an eyelash or my heart could skip a beat. "Welcome to the tip...of the earth that is." he stared deep into my eyes, as if he could see my whole life, not sparing a detail. I couldn't speak or breathe. I didn't care if I was dead in the deepest abyss of the ocean, I’d be with him, and he’d be with me. He'd catch me when I’d fall, I’d grab him when he tripped.
