• Bang! Bang! Boom! Boom!
All they see is fire and doom,
Bombs go off, and people die
Mothers with children and baby’s who cry

They’re left out alone in the dust and cold
With nothing, but each other to hold
A young girl can hear the faintest of sounds
It’s a baby’s cry, beneath the broken grounds.

She stumbles around, finding where to go,
The baby’s cry guides her high and low.
She can’t breath, she can’t cope
She’s looking around, she’s losing hope

Screams are heard as bombs go off,
She finds the baby, so tender and soft.
Scars and bruises across his face
No mother in sight, gone, without a trace

The girl finds water, washes the boy clean
While others wounded wait to be seen.
A woman confronts her and takes the child
She says “Thank you” with a grateful smile

    She drags along, barely alive
She’s trying so hard, just to survive
One last look, one last breath
One last bomb, one last death.
