-
She sits in her room
to wait for her doom.
She can hear bottles in the kitchen
& her mother bitchen.
Her voice is loud & husky,
& she know what she's doing is risky
but she has to see if she's comming
walking or running.
She opens the door & no ones there.
She closes it to wait there...
in her room again.
They hear the door close
& everything in the house froze.
Her door opens
to show her parents smokin.
She huddles in the corner
to be further away from her mother.
She stalks closer
& the girl gets colder & colder.
She raises her hand
it feels like wet sand.
The girl didn't see it comming
if she did she would have been summening
the strength not to cry.
She felt her hand strike her face.
It felt like hot satin lace.
But she's not done
& the girl couldn't run.
Her mother grabbed her by her hair
& she knew she shouldn't stare
at her or father.
Father is sitting on her bed looking at them
but not paying attenion to all the fuss.
Her mother screamed once
she screamed twice
she screamed thrice times in her ear.
The little girl doesnt show fear
when they, espically she is so near.
At school the next the girl smiles like everything is okay.
Her teachers look at her like they can see whats really going on.
She wears longed sleaved shirts & pants
even though its hot as hell to hide all the marks & bruises.
Her P.E teacher sees the evidence
& for some reason she rises to her mothers defence.
He sees the hand marks,
nail marks,
cut marks,
even cigarette burn marks.
He asks what happened
& she just stands there while he's tapin
his foot.
She says the truth
& he says she's rude....for lieing.
She can tall he doesn't believe
& she feels so relieved
because he wont tell mother
& she won't have to play another
cigarette game.
But her luck ran out
because when she got home her mother started to shout.
Her P.E teacher ended up calling.
Now she's falling.
She feels her mother slapping & punching her & she trys to get free.
Her mother grabbs fathers cigarette
& that makes her regreat
why she even tried.
All she can do now is pray.
Pray for this day to end
not just this day but every day.
Finally her mother really looses her temper
& she can hear herself start to whimper.
Her mother grabbs a knife
& the little girl hopes that she's gonna end her life.
Finally the knife comes down
all the way to the ground,
through her vest
to her chest.
Blood starts to clog her throat
& she starts to float.
She hears her father screaming at her mother
asking her what she as done to his daughter.
The little girl is just happy this is ending.
She HATED being
here, there, anywhere.
Now she can finally rest in PEACE!
