• Tell me, alas, one more time
this fleeting image of thine own destiny
entrapped ad infinitum in turmoil what drives you forward, so?
what leads you, forever, into the same darkness that you fear, that you hate?
    You kick, scream, shout, thrash
loathe the very thing ahead of you
yet you keep walking towards it
    towards oblivion
    is this your destiny?
is this all of our destinies?
to be lost, forever, in a sea of darkness, with no light above us?
I have not the answer, as i doubt any mere mortal does
But I know one thing for certain
one, undeniable truth, that shines, just a little bit, amongst the every grasping shadows
that the way you walk, the path you are taking, is wrong.
for if pain awaits you at the end, and likewise in the journey
there is naught to be gained
    and all to be lost
so turn around, and take thy hand
share with me your fear, and I'll lend you my courage
share with me your sadness, and I'll lend you my joy
share with me your weakness, and I'll lend you my strength.
and, together, we will make the light, that pierces the darkness.
