Standing there watching as I fade,
No, I long for it,
A peaceful sleep,
It will be my release from this pain,
My exit to all the suffering,
I don't know what will happen,
But nobody truly knows,
So take my life,
I don't care anymore,
I'm done fighting,
Longing for its icy embrace,
Just let me die.

- It is a fair poem, but there's nothing to make it stand apart from a zillion similar ones I've read. Perhaps take the imagery of icy embrace and spread it throughout the poem?
