• I sat transfixed with power I knew,
meant to be grasped with a soul as sad as blue.
offered an offer that may've seemed obscene,
love or power, pale as thoughts in dream.
To rule upon a cold throne,
reigning from high with a heart made of stone.
Or to gain the greatest joy:
of unhindered love from a kindhearted boy.
But being blind, to the world,
Power I chose to be unfurled,
Over me and those I knew
with a cold sad soul as sad as blue.
So I ruled from a marble throne,
my voice was feared and I sat alone,
my heart grew cold, but colder still,
was my power fo-cused on evil whims.
So I ruled for many years,
my heart became stone, I shed no tears.
    When unrequited love did come,
I sat still, struck deaf and dumb.
I could not move, so weighed down,
with a heart of stone; my tears unshed, so did I drown
in the locked things, I kept inside,
I chose power. You can see me still, I cannot hide.
I sit alone with a heart of stone
my sad cold soul chilled to the bone
    by icy power and it's misgivings;
Power for the Dead and Love for the Living.
