Hereditary Failure
Failure is a very familiar word to me,
It is all that I am and it is all that I see.
I can't seem to find any chance of hope,
When I do, I get yanked like a rope.
Something is holding me back,
I turn around and there is nothing to attack.
All I see is a reflection of me,
A person that is haunted by a lifetime of tragedy.
I punch the glass and hope this curse will break,
Nothing happens, I have had all that I can take.
Life isn't worth living anymore,
So I'm giving up and heading out the backdoor.
It doesn't matter which path that I choose,
Because I was born to lose.
I'm just a hereditary failure.
