    Tuatha De Danna
    - were tall as humans or taller
    - very wise
    - beautiful beyond compare
    Tuatha means “tribe” or “people”
-through out Ireland there became several tuathas.

The fairy raids, solemn or festive processional riding, are customary among all the trooping fairies large and small, sinister or beautiful.
This miniature maybe set besides the raid of the heroic fairies the Tuatha De Danna.
A splendid sight was the cavalcade of the Tuatha De Danna knights. Seven score steeds, each with a jewel on his forehead like a star, and seven score horsemen all the sons of kings, in their green mantles fringed with gold, and golden greaves an their limbs, and each knight having in his hand a golden spear.
These pleasant rides were traditionally important ceremonials among the fairies. As we can judge by Manx legend about the fenoderee, who was given his shaggy form and exiled form the company of the fairies until doomsday because he had danced with harvest moon raid.
Peasant and Irish seers do not usually speak of Sidhe as being little but as being tall.

    Finnvarr
The Great Fairy King of Co. Galway in the west of Ireland is Finvarr. Conc. Meadha is his abode, a prominent hill west of Tuam, on top of which is a burial mound. To the North West is Magh Tuireadh, where the legendary battle between the Fir Bolgs and the Tuatha De Danauns took place. There are many stories which illustrate Finnvarr’s liking for earthly women. He would often draw young girls away to dance all night with him in his palace, but the next morning they were always found safely in bed. Finnvarr is also known to love horses, and he usually seen riding a black horse with flaring red nostrils. Sometimes he would invite young men to ride with his fairy host.
