• A true story: The school bell rings for the end of the school day. I set my feet on the gray sidewalk and begin my short journey to the busses when i spot my best friend walking up the hill perpendicular to the sidewalk. Excited to see her and anxious to greet her, i run at full speed toward her, intending to glomp her into our normal greeting hug. Unfortunately, a foot or two away from her, i trip, my arms already flailed out in mid hug, and accidentally punch her in the face on my way down to the hard ground. Time seemed to go in slow motion as people gathered around us watching as i fell, cringing in pain. On the ground, i could feel instantly that i broke my hand. My eyes were tightly shut, but the scene was obvious from anothers point of view. What does any administrator think when they see a large croud of people gathered in a circle around two people, both in pain and one that seemed to be in the fetal position in the grass? Me and my best friend were accused of fighting at school and while she seeked shelter quickly after being interrogated by onlookers who heard the frantic response stressed " She just tripped! I didnt hit her!!" stressed i ended up in the principals office, the clinic and in front of administrators as a victem of a "fight ending with injury". My best friend came back with a cuncussion and i landed a casted arm for 6 weeks. Bad thing is, we are both artists and were delayed from our hobbies for a while. sweatdrop
we still hear laughable remarks like " I can't believe you fought your best friend!"
That day i knew completely that i was loved. Me and my best friend still laugh about it. rofl
