• Missing You (55 Words)
    There she sat, alone. The wind blew right threw her. All around her, stones shot from the ground, each marking a special space. She yearns for something lost, something that calls to her. There is something she can't leave yet. A young boy comes up and places flowers at her feet. "I miss you mom".

    Warned (55 Words)
    They had warned us. Giant wolves had been seen. To be wounded is to turn. I left, even knowing the risk. Now, face to face, they are much larger than the stories. A slash of the claws and I’m down, but alive. All that’s left now is to wait. I’m sure turning isn’t so bad.

    Night Out (55 Words)
    The night had been wonderous. It was quiet, still, and warm. Walking about, I felt serene. Suddenly, it came from nowhere. The swarm of bats, the man appearing from nowhere, and the sudden loss of consciousness. I awoke to find everyone thing normal, except two small holes in my neck. Why am I so thirsty?

    The Plan
    He stood at the edge of the alleyway, scraggly looking for a doc. Should have been easy pickings. Grabbed him as planned, but had something in his hand. Drank it then changed. Deranged monster of a man then, started mutilating us one by one. Boss never said nothing about him changing. Wasn’t fast enough. Snap.

    Never Should Have
    It followed us. We didn’t listen and it followed us. The tomb was sealed for a reason, but we didn’t care. There were signs all around that warned us. We didn’t heed. Now it has followed us and taken us one by one. The curse has come. I’m am last to succumb to the pharaoh.
