• As I gaze up at the stars...it is as though they pulse, and change before my eyes. Our laughter fills the air and hangs like a could of sweet smelling smoke around us. You all sit on the hood of the car or cross-legged on the grass. But me, I am laying a few feet away. Your easy voices carry to me...but do not penetrate my thoughts. I hear you, my friends, as you call my name. But, I do not answer. You call and call. I lay still. My heart quite and content under all those changing stars. Finally you come and get me. You take me away from the stars...but I do not care. I'm with you, my friends, and that's all that really matters.
