• Once, there was a world. A world where there were two continents. The continent which lies to the East is called Liozen. The continent which lies to the West is called Zeron. Most of the people of Liozen study magic and can use it themselves. All around this mystical continent are monsters.

The people who wield magic can use it to fight against these monsters. The people with magic not only use magic, but they use swords, bows, crossbows, staves, lances, daggers and even books if they don’t have enough power to cast magic temporarily. Most of them prefer staves with special Zodiak Gems; special gems which enhance magic powers, attached to them. Zodiak Stones, however, are different. They allow the wielder to cast special magic related to their Zodiak sign, their weapon and their personality. There are twelve types of Zodiak stones in all, and they all represent Zodiac signs. There used to be sixteen, but four were destroyed in the Great Battle against the Lord of Hell.

The Zodiak Gems can only be found in certain Kingdoms of Liozen. The people who prefer to use both weapons and magic together are called Weaponry Mages. Their weapons get even stronger if magic is used with it. If some one were to cast a Flame-related spell on a weapon with Flame-related properties, its attack power would double. Or maybe if some one cast a Mist-related spell on it would have stronger magical properties and defensive properties. Not to mention the weapon might turn into a different one. The possibilities are endless.

Perhaps the spell would call out the Inner Force of the weapon. The Inner Force is basically the soul of a weapon, which sometimes takes form if certain conditions are met. That is the reason why no two weapons are the same. Every weapon is like a part of its wielder. Weapons are the wielder’s personality’s shape.

However things were different in the continent of Zeron. Most of the people there study technology. They make machineries to make their lives easier. Most of the sources of danger are around the borders of the continent.

The robots which went berserk are dumped on the borders. There are very strong walls that most of those robots can’t break. When one does break through, people rush there and fix the wall, but there are “special” people who destroy the robot which is on rampage

. They are called Flamewielders, as when their bombs explode, flames burst and fell their enemies. Some use bombs and some use guns. Those are about the only two weapons used there. None of the people there care to think or try impossible things. They just classify it as “impossible” and leave it like that. No one there has interest in magic. They call it impossible as well.

One day the Liozen people started to think about how the people of Zeron had limited minds, and the people of Zeron started to think about how the people of Liozon were accomplishing impossibilities and thought they were crazy. The Supreme Emperors of both continents started to argue with each other.

Soon the world was split into two parts. One part is the place where impossible is definitely possible; the other part is where impossible is just impossible. This continued for two long centuries and finally the two halves of the world split and became worlds of their own.

The only way anyone could cross from that world to the other one is by the Nonexistent Pathway. There is a place to rest in the middle and it might also be considered a town. If anyone from Zeron wanted to go to Liozen instead of stay in Zeron, they would be banished from Zeron and be sent to Liozen. It was the same with Liozen.

These amazing lands just disappeared one day. It was five centuries after the world split into two worlds. It was time for Earth to be created.

-Ten Million Years After Earth Was Created-

“Wake up, Dyre! We have school today!” Sira shouted into Dyre’s ears. Sira was already wearing her school uniform. Yeah, like I WANT to go to school…why can’t you go yourself? Or maybe help me pretend to be sick? Were Dyre’s thoughts. ”Yeah, yeah…Five minutes…” Dyre said lazily.

“We can’t afford five minutes! We have to go NOW!” She shouted again. She started dragging him out of his bed. Dyre’s head hit the floor. “Ouch…that hurts!” Dyre complained. “Eight minutes to school! Move it!” Sira said as she left the room.

Dyre changed his clothes. He hurriedly put on a shirt, a pair of pants, socks, shoes and a tie. He would carry his jacket to school and wear it there. He checked his watch. Five minutes left. He took his school bag in his hand and started running down the stairs. No time for breakfast. Gotta move! He left his room quickly and hurried down the stairs. He poured a glass of milk and gulped it down. “Bye Mom! Bye Dad!” He shouted to his parents and bolted out of the house running. Sira was following him.

Two minutes. I’m almost there. I can do this! Dyre thought to himself. In a minute he was in school. He put on his red uniform jacket, which he hated wearing. Sira had left to her classroom. Now to find his own classroom. Only forty seconds to go. Three…two…He was in his seat in the classroom! He made it! Phew…that was close! I’ll have to reward myself for that!

And so the day began. It was Literature class now. The teacher asked everyone if they had done their homework. Dyre, as usual, did not do his homework. Sira always did her homework. What’s the point of homework? Who the hell wants to study at home!? He thought angrily. “Umm…I didn’t do it…” Of course this was not strange so the teacher just sighed and started the lesson as usual. School was as boring as usual. I wish I DID pretend to be sick… He thought woefully. He was quietly listening to what the teacher said. He was unable to hide his boredom. Someone please save us! Turn the hands of that stupid clock forward! He thought to himself. He was on the verge of falling asleep. The teacher was saying something about homework. Dyre was beginning to drift off to sleep. The teacher quietly walked over to his desk and banged on it to keep Dyre awake. Dyre suddenly sat up straight. His eyes were wide open.

I have to stay awake…have to stay awake… He repeated inside his mind. The teacher walked away. A few minutes were left and this class would be over. Okay just a few minutes left. I can do this! He thought to himself. “That is all for today class.” Dyre had actually managed to stay awake. Sira came running into the class asking if Dyre could come with her for a few minutes.

Dyre was excused. He thankfully left the classroom. “Okay what is it Sira?” Dyre asked her after they left the classroom. They were now in the hall. Sira did not answer but she sped up her pace. She was now running. Dyre had to run as well to keep up with her. They were out in the schoolyard now.

Sira was looking around. No one was there but herself and Dyre. “Look at this Dyre!” Sira showed Dyre two stones with Taurus and Sagittarius Zodiac signs carved on them. They were beautiful stones. “Where did you find these?” Asked Dyre who was not taking his eyes off the stones.

“They fell on my head while I was in class.” She replied. “So in other words you don’t know?” Said Dyre who was slightly annoyed at the stupid answer. “Nope. No idea. But I don’t think anyone here owns them. No one has ever seen these. The people I asked anyway.” She said. “Do we keep them or not?” He was obviously hoping to keep them.

“Of course we keep them!” She said with a sneaky tone in her voice. “Well I have to get back to class. Catch ya later!” Dyre said as he took his choice of the stones. He picked the stone with the Taurus sign since his birthday falls between 20th April and 20th May. Sira gladly kept the one with the Sagittarius sign because her birthday falls between 22nd November and 21st December.

Dyre waved, put the stone in his jacket-pocket and ran back to his classroom. He was in school for what seemed like forever to him. The clock hands on his watch seemed to move slower than usual. Finally it was time to leave school and go home. Dyre was the first to run out of the class room and he also ran home quickly.

He went straight to his room and took a shower. He then changed his clothes and flopped down on his bed. He started to take his books out of his school bag and started doing his homework reluctantly. Before that he set the stone he had on the desk. It took some time but he’d finally finished his homework. He was astonished to see it took him nearly two hours. It was 5 ‘o’ clock now. He was really tired. “Dyre! Sira! Come down for supper!” Their parents shouted.

Dyre lazily walked downstairs and sat in his chair. They were having spaghetti with sauce and shrimp for supper today. Dyre pretended that the shrimp was a monster and stabbed it with his fork. Sira joined in. She was screaming and running away from the shrimp that Dyre was using as a monster. Dyre began to chase her with his shrimp monster. Everyone was laughing at this. It was 6 ‘o’ clock when they finished their supper.

Dyre went back to his room and read comic books. He was also admiring his stone. It was truly beautiful. He spent two hours reading comic books and admiring his stone. It was about time for him to eat dinner. So he went downstairs lazily again to wait for dinner. Finally his dinner came. Sira came downstairs and sat down. They were going to eat fried rice, Chinese style vegetables and duck. It was a Chinese style dinner. They all enjoyed dinner and went to their own rooms

. The hours slowly ticked by but neither Dyre nor Sira could sleep. Sira softly knocked on Dyre’s door. “Come in.” Said Dyre softly. Sira stepped in. She was holding her stone which was now glowing faintly. He noticed his stone was glowing faintly as well. He got out of bed and took his stone. He walked towards Sira. Their stones were glowing brighter and both of them felt sleepy. “I feel so sleepy now…” Sira said. Both of them soon collapsed and fell asleep. But a different thing was going on inside their heads…This is where the real story begins.

“Help! I can’t stop spinning!” Dyre shouted. He was spinning and there were numbers and clouds spiraling around him. “Is that you Dyre!?” Sira shouted. “Yeah! Why are we spinning?” Asked Dyre. He was starting to feel sick. “Don’t ask me!” She replied. Both of them noticed at the same time that the stones they found that day were in their hands.

Dyre was almost green when they suddenly stopped spinning. They didn’t touch the ground either. They may have even been floating. Sira looked around and saw that many strange looking people were standing around them, gazing in awe. Dyre thought he heard “So these are the ones…”

It sounded more like a question than a statement. Dyre looked around as well and saw the large crowd gathered around them. He was shocked at their appearance and more importantly, the number of people gathered there.

Suddenly they realized their stones were glowing. Dyre’s one was glowing green while Sira’s one was glowing light blue. Then they both looked down and they were shocked to see two glowing circles under them. The one under Dyre was glowing green, just like his stone. The one under Sira was glowing light blue.

“The stones are doing this!” They both said at once. “Hmph…took them long enough.” Said a gruff voice. Sira and Dyre looked around and saw that the voice belonged to a man. He had various tools with him. Sira thought he looked odd. Dyre thought he did not want to think of him. He was scared just by his voice, let alone his appearance. This guy’s gotta be a bear in disguise, right? Were Dyre’s thoughts on the man. A less bear-like man with long blond hair tied in a ponytail leaned toward Dyre’s ear and whispered, “I am sorry about his attitude. He is the town blacksmith, Rakkan. He might be rude at times but he is a really good blacksmith.” The blond-haired man smiled. He had a more gentle voice.

Dyre noticed he had a harp in his hand. “Are you two going to come down?” the blond man asked. Sira seemed embarrassed. They had been floating for some time and they didn’t even know how to get down. “…You do not know how to get down, do you?” Get down? I want to get home! Thought Dyre bitterly, but he supposed getting his feet on the ground wasn’t so bad. “Uh...no. We don’t know how.” Said Sira. “Oh I suppose that is to be expected. May I help you two down?” He asked politely. “Um…Sure.” Even though Dyre said “sure” he was not sure at all.

“May I see your Zodiak Stones, please?” He asked them. Dyre and Sira had no clue what a Zodiak Stone was. They just guessed what it was and handed him the Taurus and Sagittarius stones. They did learn that Taurus and Sagittarius were Zodiac signs in astrology class. “Hmm…Taurus and Sagittarius…Earthen Bull and Flaming Archer!” The blond man shouted at the stones. The circles beneath them disappeared and they both fell on the ground with a thud. The ground was hard but they were both happy to be on the ground. Finally! Thought Dyre happily.

“Perhaps a softer landing would have been better, but this will do, I suppose.” The blond man laughed. He helped Sira to her feet first and then Dyre. “My name is Tiiren. Nice to meet you.” He smiled again. The crowd was still staring in awe at them.

“I’m Dyre. Nice to meetcha too!” Dyre said gleefully. “My name’s Sira. I’m his sister. Nice to meet ya too.” Sira smiled. “I see. Here are your Zodiak Stones back. Use them well.” Tiiren gave them their stones back. Use? We don’t even know the first thing about them! Thought Dyre. Suddenly the crowd cleared. A man was walking toward them. An old man with a wooden staff was following him.

“Ah, so they have arrived.” Said the man in the front. He also had long blond hair. He carried a sword with a bright red stone embedded in the hilt. It had a Scorpio sign carved upon it. Tiiren and everyone around them immediately bowed. “Sire, this is Sira and her brother Dyre. Are they truly…?” He could not finish the sentence. He was staring at them in awe now as the others had done before. This is so creepy…why do they keep staring at us? Sira thought.

“Yes they are, Tiiren. I suppose you are already acquainted with Tiiren?” He asked Sira and Dyre. “Uh…sorta.” They both said atone time. They couldn’t think of anything else to say. “I see. I am Xwelle Rozengard. I am a knight of Rozengard Castle. I am also the prince of Rozengard.” Wha-? Did he just say a knight!? More importantly, did he just say PRINCE!? Dyre thought. His mouth hung open in shock

“Do not be so shocked this easily. I am just a hard-working knight, after all.” Xwelle said casually. “Sire, did you come all this way for this event?” asked Tiiren, unable to hold his excitement back. “Why, yes, I did.” Xwelle replied. “Dyre and Sira. Accompany me back to Rozengard. There is something of utmost the king wants to tell you.” So you’re the messenger boy? A knight a prince and a messenger boy…what a busy life… Thought Dyre. “But we don’t even know what this place is! Why are we here anyway!?” asked Sira. “This…Is the Nonexistent Pathway. The middle of it anyway. We call this place Feiri Wing town.” Tiiren answered.

“Right. Now come with me…Dyre and Sira.” Xwelle said. “Sire, do they not need equipment for the journey? It can be quite dangerous.” Said Tiiren sounding a bit alarmed. “Oh, of course. My apologies. Get yourselves some equipment.” Man, Xwelle sure likes to order people around a lot…Royal blood does that, I guess. Sira thought. “Allow me to show you the way.” Said Tiiren. He was undoubtedly excited about something.

“Okay Tiiren! Lead the way!” said Sira and Dyre excitedly. They were wondering if they’d actually get to hold a sword. At this point, some people from the crowd had left to do their jobs. Another reason they sounded excited was because they could get away from the people who were staring at them. Some people had also resumed their daily shopping. The streets were bustling now.

“It’s this way.” Said Tiiren, who was already moving. Dyre and Sira quickly caught up with him. Before that Xwelle had given Dyre and Sira eight thousand Gyld, which was the currency of this world.

They finally reached the shop where they sold armor and weapons. The sign said “Feiri Wing Armor and Weaponry Shop”. They entered the shop. Dyre and Sira were amazed while Tiiren was laughing at their amazement. “I will wait here then.” Said Tiiren. He was smiling again. He leaned against the wall and waited. Dyre and Sira soon picked out some things they liked and went into the changing room. Dyre came out first. He was wearing armor which was resistant to Flame and Mist attacks. He chose a Bladegun as his weapon. A Bladegun looked a lot like a crossbow. It obviously fired blades. The blades are locked together very tightly at first. There are four to five blades per bladebullet. When the bladebullets are shot, after a certain distance, the blades split and pierce the enemy. It would certainly be a painful death.

Sira came out a bit later. She chose a Mist and Bolt resistant dress. She looked beautiful in it. It was light blue and had flowing sleeves. She chose a Flame bow as her weapon. “You both are looking very well prepared.” Said Tiiren. For some people who just got here, they did a good job choosing armor and weaponry. “Thank you!” they said both at one time.

They paid the shopkeeper four thousand Gyld for their items. They left the shop and followed Tiiren to where Prince Xwelle was waiting patiently. The old man was still beside him. Dyre, Sira and Tiiren all bowed at once. “Shall we be off for Rozengard then?” Asked Xwelle. “Yes, Sire!” Dyre and Sira answered.
“Have a safe journey, Dyre and Sira. It was nice meeting you. Farewell.” Tiiren sounded a bit sad seeing them go so quickly. “Thank you for everything Tiiren. We’ll see ya again!” Dyre and Sira declared. “If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, could you come with us, Tiiren?” Xwelle asked. “Sire!” was all Tiiren could manage to say. He was overjoyed at this.

Even though Dyre, Sira and Tiiren might not have realized it, they already became friends.

Tiiren used his harp as a weapon. He was a Weaponry Mage. When he played his harp, he could cast spells. Some might heal and some might damage and some might even teleport.

“Shall I take us close to Rozengard, Sire?” Tiiren asked. “Yes. I believe it would be easier that way.” Replied Xwelle. Tiiren started to strum the strings of his harp. He was casting the “Song of the Stars” spell. It would instantly send them to the forest outside Rozengard.

“Now we are in the middle of Rozen Forest.” Said Tiiren. “Many monsters should not appear if we make haste. Come.” Xwelle started moving. “Wait! M-m-monsters?!” said Dyre in shock. “Yes. The ones here are fairly weak though . It should not be a problem.” Tiiren was still smiling. Don’t panic. We can do this! Dyre repeated inside his head.

“Are you all ready?” asked Xwelle. “Yes, Sire.” Said Tiiren. “Yeah we’re ready!” Shouted Dyre and Sira. They were trying to sound brave. They began walking towards Rozengard. Dyre and Sira were whispering. “Hey, ya think we should just run away?” Asked Sira. “No, I think this’ll be a good experience. We’ll explain later and go home.” Dyre replied. “Okay. Good plan.” Sira said.

Just then, something burst out of the ground. It was a monster. The monsters of Rozen Forest are mostly weak against Flame-related spells and weapons. So Sira’s Flame Bow was going to be effective. The monster had leaves as claws. The rest of it was made of soil. It was about to attack Dyre used his Bladegun. For him, it was exciting. The bladebullet got close to it and split into four blades. One of them pierced the monster. It was enveloped in light and it disappeared.

“Are you sure you did not know how to use it when you got here?” asked Tiiren who was staring in awe again. Dyre had fired it very skillfully. “He’s right, Bro. That was an awesome shot!” shouted Sira enthusiastically. “Thanks but this is the first time I ever used this.” Dyre was puzzled, but he was glad he killed the monster without messing up. “C’mon. We have to go to Rozengard don’t we?” He started moving. Tiiren caught up with him and told him he was going the wrong way. Dyre just laughed it off. Dyre and Tiiren went back and followed Xwelle. They were finally close to Rozengard when a big armored doll appeared in front of them. Its armor was made of wood and bones. It had a spear for a weapon. The doll itself was made of clay. “Wh-What the hell is that!?” said Dyre who thought it was a monster.

“Do not be alarmed. He is one of the guardians of this forest.” Said Xwelle calmly. Yeah right! He’s the most dangerous guardian I’ve ever seen! The Guardian’s eyes were red. “O Guardian of the Forest! Let us continue on our path!” Tiiren said to the doll. The doll instead tried to jab Tiiren with his spear. “This is odd. He is usually docile and gentle.” Xwelle said with a concerned tone. Tiiren easily dodged it. He was very quick. “Hmm…I think we have to defeat him to get to Rozengard, now that he is like this.” Tiiren said after a few seconds.

“Then let’s get started!” Sira said enthusiastically. She already took three arrows and began aiming for the Guardian’s spear. She shot all three arrows at once. Tiiren strummed the harp he was holding. It was the spell “Song of the Firebirds” which adds flames to any weapon, making it stronger. Tremor element monsters like the Forest Guardian were weak against Flame element weapons and spells.

The arrows Sira shot were consumed by flames and the arrows turned into moving flames. The spear instantly burned when a flaming arrow touched it. The other two hit its armor and burned most of it. “We leave it to you.” Tiiren and Sira said. “Right!” Dyre said as he shot a bladebullet at the Guardian. It split as it did with the previous monster. Three blades missed but one blade hit its center. Xwelle moved up and slashed it from behind.

It was enveloped in light, and it disappeared. “Great! It’s over!” Dyre said, grinning. “Uhh…I don’t think so, Bro.” Said Sira, who was pointing at something behind Dyre. The doll was behind Dyre. It tried to jab his arm with its spear, but Tiiren cast an “Angel’s Protection Shield” just in time. Angel’s Protection Shield was a Barrier element spell which created a barrier wherever the caster wanted it to be. It was a weak spell, but it worked.

“Th-thanks…” Dyre said to Tiiren. Sira began to shoot arrows at it and Xwelle slashed it with his Scorpio Sword. Dyre jumped back and shot bladebullets at it. Tiiren just strummed his harp. Listening to what he was playing made everyone feel stronger. Xwelle’s slashes became stronger, Dyre fired bladebullets more quickly and Sira shot five arrows at once instead of three.

At last the doll was weakened, this time they wanted to finish it once and for all. Xwelle knew how to. “Stand back.” He told the others. His Scorpio Zodiak stone glowed. He shouted, “Scorpio: Scorpion Sting!” And stabbed it. The Guardian disappeared into his blade. “Wow.” Was all Dyre and Sira could say.

“Now, shall we make our way towards Rozengard?” Asked Xwelle like nothing ever happened. “Yeah, sure.” Said Dyre. Sira just kept quiet. Tiiren was strumming a merry song on his harp.

They marched forward and finally saw what Rozengard looked like. It was beautiful. Flowers lined the streets and walls, even the castle had flowers upon it. Even here, everyone gazed in awe at Dyre and Sira. Okay this is getting creepy. Dyre thought. Even though it was beautiful, something felt very strange and negative.

“I shall go back to Castle Rozengard. Tiiren, show them around.” Xwelle ordered Tiiren. “Yes, Sire.” Was his reply. “Oh yes. You two…Dyre and Sira, come to the castle in the afternoon. “Sure.” They replied.

Xwelle walked away, and they just noticed the old man was with him. “Now then, follow me.” Tiiren said and hurried off somewhere. Dyre and Sira could barely keep up with him. He sure is quick. Thought Dyre. They were going to the center of the kingdom.

The center of the kingdom was bustling with activity. The markets were still open, and people were busy shopping. Dyre and Sira thought a lot of the things they were selling were odd. They looked at what Tiiren was staring at. He was staring at a large fountain, in the middle of which was a water lily spouting water. The fountain, too, was decorated with flowers. “This is the Water Lily fountain. It is one of the main monuments of Rozengard. Cancer has blessed this fountain with water lilies and pearls,” Tiiren said excitedly. “It is also considered one of the Twelve Wonders of this world.” He continued.

They went from place to place, Tiiren telling them important facts about each. Sira was amazed by how many flower fields one kingdom could have. “I’m tired.” Sira said drowsily. “It is almost time for you two to go to Castle Rozengard.” Tiiren said. He smiled once again. “May I come with you?” He asked. “Sure.” Dyre and Sira replied. Tiiren guided them to the castle.

The castle looked big from the outside, but it was huge inside. It was like a maze of halls, but Tiiren knew the way by heart. He led them to the throne room. It was magnificent. Golden, silver, bronze and sparkling crystals shone with brilliance. Tiiren was trying to look at everything at once, and he looked very excited as well. All three of them bowed before the King, but he just laughed and said it was unnecessary. “Now, Dyre and Sira, do you know why you are here?” He asked them. Tiiren was still looking excited and listening to every word attentively.

“No, we don’t.” They answered. “It is because of a legend.” He said. “A legend…?” They both asked in shock. “Yes. You see, a long time ago, monsters and demons used to get inside dreams and turned them into nightmares. At first, it was just people being troubled in their sleep. But in a few days, their nightmares continued to get worse and worse, they did not know it, but they were being pulled into their nightmares. The demons and monsters killed those who were pulled inside. Millions of lives were lost this way. Humanity lost all hope; they would have to die in the hands of the Lord of Hell, which is what we call Him anyway. But there was one shining hope. The Knightmare, who destroyed the demons and monsters which used nightmares to kill humans. He, with the help of his friends, Seran, Cryle, Hyrell and Ryzen finally destroyed the Lord of Hell,” He said.

“But they all perished while destroying the Lord of Hell. Peace reigned for a very long time, ten million years ago, this world disappeared and so did the Nonexistent Pathway and Zeron disappeared as well. We are now in what people from the Human World call the “Dreamworld”. It is not just a dream, however. The people of the Human World simply call it that because they refuse to believe this is true. You two have been summoned here because the once gentle beasts are turning into savage monsters. And demons have been spawning and wreaking havoc all around the world. Some of these monsters are causing nightmares, and pulling people into them. We are led to believe that the Lord of Hell was not fully vanquished, but sealed instead. He has returned, and there is not a shred of hope for humanity, for lives are already being taken, perhaps the Lord of Hell will return to his full power, and incinerate everything into black ashes. Everything except his demonic and monstrous followers. But you…there is light within you. And hope,” He said happily.

“Light dispels Darkness. The Knightmare had pure light within his heart.” He said. “What does this have to do with us?” They asked. This crackpot is going on and on about nonsense…Dyre thought impatiently. “You two are descendants of the Knightmare. You hold his mighty strength, his light. You are the shining hope in the middle of dense darkness. Will you choose to be Knightmares?” Asked the King finally. Well…it DOES sound cool let’s do this! Thought Dyre. We’ll get to be heroes! Thought Sira. “You have your Zodiak Stones, yes?” Asked the King. “Yeah. They fell on my head.” Sira said. “Hmm…Perhaps I should not have used your ceiling as the Gate…” Said Xwelle. “It was you!?” Said Dyre and Sira at the same time. They were shocked. “Yes, it was.” Replied Xwelle. “Hmm…Knightmares huh? We choose to be Knightmares!” Said Dyre and Sira. They were very excited about it. “But on one condition.” They said after a few seconds. “Which would be?” Asked the King. “We can return to the Human World every morning, and come back here every night.” They said. “Granted. I must say it is a small price. But Tiiren, my boy, you have not given your answer.” Said the King. Tiiren, who was listening, now thought he heard the King wrong, and he was shocked. “M-My answer?” He said without thinking. “Yes, my boy, when I asked you three to become Knightmares.” He said. He was laughing. “But…But I am just a poor musician! Tiiren said. He could not believe it. “My boy, being rich or poor does not affect your blood. I believe the time has come to tell you that you are a descendant of one of the Knightmare’s friends who helped him on his journey, Seran.” The King said to Tiiren. Tiiren, who looked shocked and very happy said, “I shall become a Knightmare, as my friends have. But I request something in return.” Tiiren said firmly. “You request something as well? Very well, then.” He said. “I wish to go to the Human World along with Dyre and Sira every morning and come back at night.” Tiiren said seriously. “Ah, I see. Very well. It shall be granted.” The King said. Sira thought it was odd how he wanted to go to the Human World.

Suddenly, Dyre’s green Taurus stone, Sira’s light blue Sagittarius stone and Tiiren’s lilac Aquarius stone glowed and a symbol appeared on it. It was Taurus, Gemini, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Capricorn. Tiiren gasped and said, “This is the sign of Knightmares! We are truly Knightmares!” Dyre was just staring at his stone.

“Tiiren, where was your Zodiak Stone all this time?” Asked Dyre finally. “I hid it.” Tiiren replied. “Wow! How’d ya do that!?” Dyre asked excitedly. “Haha, it is a secret.” He replied. “My, it is evening. Xwelle, show them to the dining hall. We shall have a feast in honor of the Knightmares’ arrival!” The King declared. Xwelle did so. Man, is it good to see him following orders like a servant instead of orderin’ people around! Dyre thought. It was truly a refreshing sight. Although he wondered why Tiiren was always happy to be treated like a servant and ordered around.

The dining hall had large doors, which of course had flowers on it. Surprisingly, Xwelle could open it with just one hand. Okay, either that door is made of REALLY light wood, or he’s just REALLY strong! Thought Dyre, who was amazed. If the doors were large, they were nothing compared to the dining hall.

The whole kingdom’s people could dine here. The dining table was long and obviously decorated with flowers. There were gems of various colors floating around, sparkling. They were reflecting the light of the chandelier which had crystals shaped like roses. It was lit by a hundred candles. Tiiren never saw the dining hall before, so he was amazed, and once again, he tried to look at everything at once. It was very entertaining watching Dyre scurrying around, trying catch a glowing red gem which kept floating away from him. Sira was laughing like an idiot at this sight.

Suddenly a bell rang loudly. The ringing was coming from the roof. The doors on both sides of the dining hall burst open, and in came the entire population of the kingdom. Dyre was so busy chasing the red crystal; he never noticed the food or the people. Once he ran into Tiiren, he noticed everything. He was surprised at the number of people gathered. “This is a bit crowded, is it not?” Said Xwelle, who joined them. Yeah, ya could say so! Knightmares are THAT important, huh? Thought Dyre. “Yeah.” Was Dyre’s brief reply. “Not to worry. Follow me.” Said Xwelle. He led the three of them to the stairs, which were floating rocks.

Their table was a magnificent one, one on top of a floating rock. They were supposed to eat there, and the rock would float around the long dining table beneath them. I’m gonna die of motion sickness on this thing! Dyre thought. He was obviously exaggerating. The evening passed by very quickly. Tiiren showed Dyre how to make a flute out of strange carrots. The carrots were as long as swords. The people here do not call it just “carrot”.
They call it a rabbit’s foot carrot. The flute Tiiren made out of a rabbit’s foot carrot sounded beautiful. Although it was the size of a regular carrot now. Dyre just failed to bite it down to the correct size. Tiiren played a cheery tune for all the guests. He had eaten enough trying to show Dyre the correct length. Sira was disgusted at how they ate the same rabbit’s foot carrot. Don’t they know how many germs they could get by doing that!? Thought Sira, who was obsessed with being neat and tidy.

After everyone had eaten enough, they all stared at Dyre. Again? Dyre thought. They soon left. Dyre was really tired after the long day. Xwelle seemed to notice that and tossed him keys. He looked at Tiiren, as if to say, “You know what to do.” And walked away. Tomorrow morning, I shall be sent to the Human World. I wonder how it will be. Thought Tiiren. He led them to somewhere in the hallway, and drew the shape of a grand door on it. A door appeared in its place and Tiiren opened it. It was a candle-lit, grand bedroom. He drew another shape of a grand door, and a door appeared like the first one did. “That is your room, Sira. This is ours, Dyre.” Tiiren said, pointing to the doors.

Sira went into her room and fell asleep almost instantly when her head hit the pillow. Up until now, Dyre didn’t think too much about Tiiren coming with them to their world, but now he realized that Tiiren was used to this world, which had absolutely no technology. And the Human World had technology almost everywhere. He’ll get used to it, right?! RIGHT!? Dyre thought. While he was thinking about this, Tiiren had already fallen asleep. His harp lay close to him, his Zodiak Stone not hidden anymore. Dyre noticed it had the Aquarius Zodiac sign carved on it.

Dyre drifted off to sleep…he would be home the next morning.
