I lay in bed, suddenly awaken by Eminem rapping and swearing insanely. My favorite kind of music, but early in the morning is just too much for me. I sit up right in bed, removing the covers as I get up. I knock on my older brother’s door with a firm hand, but after a few pounds I just end up intruding. Of course he’s so into playing his game that he doesn’t even notice.
“Blake!” A very stupid move to be calling his name right now with the music so loud. Since I was starting to get irritated, I just found his remote and turned off the TV. In a sharp turn of his head he looked at me.
“Seriously?!” He said in an angry tone. I lifted my eyebrow. Did he just talk to me the way I think he did?
    “Fine, what?” He sighed.
“Just because grams is in the Philippines, don’t mean you can do whatever you want you know.”
“Are you older or am I?” He asked.
“Oh whatever by like one year, who cares dude.” I shrugged.
“Don’t matter, all I know is that with her gone for a few I can finally try to beat this level online.”
“Why don’t you try to hang out with your girlfriend or something? Do something normal like invite her back here and get laid, anything but playing a stupid zombie killing game that plays Eminem and Pink when you turn off all the phones.”
“First of all it’s not some stupid zombie killing game! And second how did you know that it plays…”
“Because Krystal and I beat the whole thing while you were visiting Mom last week in Vegas.” I smiled and walked out of his room.
“What?!” He shouted to me as I closed his door. I rolled my eyes. My brother and I might be older but he still acts younger than I do. Every morning it’s the same, I go to morning classes at the college here and I come home and do it all over again. I’m an honor student all the way, it keeps my family at bay. I wish I could say the same for my brother, but it’s a lost cause. All he wants to do is stay in his room and play video games, go to work, then it’s back to his room when he get‘s home. After my parents divorced we were housed with my grandparents. Mom moved to Vegas and dad just moved on but Blake and I always get to see him more since he lives closer. It’s only an hour drive to see him, depending on traffic. My father said I was the one to actually go to college first since my brother decided not to. Since my brother isn’t really interested in anything, I guess my family dropped everything more on me. I never complained because I don’t mind. And as for my love life? After my last boyfriend and I broke up two years ago, I’ve only been concentrating on school. Love is just not top priority for me right now. Well that’s how I see it…

With a drink in one hand, and a girl hanging on my arm, you would think I was going home lucky tonight. This girl is on me like she’s ready to be taken back to my place. One of my homeboys give me a look, as if he knew how lucky I was to have a gorgeous babe being all over me. I make a nod with a slight smile to him before he makes out with his girl. This girl on my arm, what the hell was her name again? She whispers in my ear something, but all I felt was her spit in my damn ear. I’m not too drunk for this s**t, and this girl just don’t do it for me at all. Honestly I feel like telling her off and going home to sleep. It sounds bad, but I seriously didn’t want this girl on me.
“Dance with me!!!” She shouts louder to me over the music. Before I can refuse she drags me through the overcrowded dance floor and starts grinding all up on me. I lift my eyebrow, it should feel good…but it doesn’t. Suddenly she starts dancing, well I don’t if what she’s doing is even called dancing…she looks like she’s being possessed by something, what the….?! Oh hell no I don’t need this for sure. As she distracts herself with…whatever she was doing, I make my way through the crowd to the exit.
Finally out of the club, I smell the fresh air. My phones beeps then, I pull it out for a txt.
“Man so many hot girls up in this club, Cindy was asking for you. Where you go man?” So that was her name? I thought as I turned off my phone and began walking to my car.

When I finally got home, my room mate was watching TV with his girl sleeping on his lap. It was weird how he found his future wife so fast and easy.
“Hey where’s your new girlfriend?” My room mate looked up at me.
“New girlfriend.” I chuckled as I shook my head and headed for the kitchen.
“So Tony didn’t find you a girl tonight? He said he would, useless.” Cory shook his head sadly when he entered.
“He found me a girl, but she wasn’t my type.” I said.
“Right, you’re just picky.” He laughed quietly.
“Shut up man, it’s not like I never had a girlfriend before. I’m still young, I don’t need to find love right now.”
“Dude you’re twenty-four, if that isn’t old then what is?” He laughed again. I guess he was right, I’ve never been in love before. When I was eighteen I moved out of my parents house and got this place, went to college and got a steady job. I had girlfriends come and go, but I was so into my work that I never paid attention to them like they wanted me to. I was always dumped in the end, I was hurt but not to the point to carry it around for life. I moved on, with a broken heart one minute and carefree the next.
“Why don’t you come with me and my lady to a party tomorrow night?” Cory asked.
“I don’t know, I have to work early the next day after that.”
“Come on man, I was just like you before. The party we’re going to, I met my lady at the same one tomorrow night. When I was taking a small class last year. We some how met despite my busy schedule, and we fell in love. Man I’m telling you, at least come with us and if you don’t think you like it after an hour, you can leave.” Cory was nodding his head assuring. What the hell…
    “Fine.” We shook hands.

I’m finally at a university that I will definitely love. After flying for six hours with Krystal, I finally found the place where I want to be.
“So you like the tour of the campus?” Krystal’s cousin Heather asked.
“I love it!” I almost shouted.
“Definitely applying here next semester.” Krystal was excited as well.
“If you think you love it now, wait until the party tonight at my sorority house.” Heather smiled.
“But don’t Bree and I need to be house sisters or something to get into the party?” Krystal asked.
“Didn’t I tell you? The head sister has been my best friend since high school. We’ve applied together and both got in, since her mom was once a head sister she was a shoe-in after the last sisters graduated. Plus she worked harder than all the other pledges. She’s really cool.” Heather smiled. I liked a sorority where everything wasn’t all about the color pink preppy.
“But what about our age? We’re only eighteen…” I said.
“Then don’t mention your ages to anyone, just lie if they ask. Twenty-one and up. But make it a believable age please, and don’t take anything a guy tries to give you like a drink or any drugs. Your mom would kill me.”
“Awesome! Don’t worry we wont get into any trouble.” Krystal seemed happy but I still wasn’t sure.
“Great. Also no sleeping or getting freaky with anyone in this party house! I don’t care if you’re old enough to do it!” I was always the one to listen, but I’m not sure Krystal was on the same boat as I was. I sighed to myself.

I couldn’t believe it, damn Cory took me to a sorority house. How did this happen to me?
“Why are we here Cory?” I asked him as we got ourselves some beers.
“Well my girl used to go to this sorority, and she remained close friends with the sisters here. Since you needed to get a girl, I figure why not take you here. If I can get a serious relationship from a party like this, then I’m sure you can too man.” Cory patted my back before walking off to his girl. Seriously, it hasn’t even been an hour and I wanted to leave. When I went to a university I never went to a party so crazy like this one though, I had to admit it was almost like a club though. As the music kept bumping, so did I…literally. People were bumping me all over that I was thrown into a crowd of people dancing all around me, I stood awkwardly like I surely didn’t belong here. But suddenly, some girl was twirled into my arms. What the hell man?! Before I got annoyed, I caught myself. In my arms the girl shivered, was she scared? I wasn’t going to take advantage of her, I looked down and I towered over her a little. I looked over to where he eyes were, and a guy was scanning the area. Was she trying to hide from him? Suddenly she looked up at me with an unknown expression, my mind suddenly went blank. All around it felt like time stopped, and we were the only ones moving through. What was happening……..?
