• Tsuki was walking through the camp when she spotted a broken mask on the ground. She picks it up, "What's this mask doing here?" she asks herself.
"Excuse me that's my mask." a voice sounded from in front of her.
She slowly looks up and sees a man wearing a black kimono. She stares him down as he walks closer reaching his hand out, "May I have it back?"
She takes a step back shaking her head.
    "Why not?"
    She doesn't answer.
"Are you going to answer me?"
She drops the mask and takes off running.
"Hm, wonder what got into her?" he picks his mask up and dusts it off,"I wonder if I could ask her if I she knows a place I can stay for a while."

Tsuki was running full speed back to the village. As she's running she bumps into a mysterious man in white,"Sorry!" she calls back to the man.
The man stands there watching her run, "So your Tsuki." he whispers to himself. He grins darkly, "You shall meet your end along with that dreaded demon." he stalks off.

At the village Tsuki was heading for the creek that was about a mile away from her home. Admiring everything around her she didn't notice that there was someone following her. Reaching the creek she looks up at the sky, "I wish it was night." she whispers to herself.
"Why do you adore the darkness, Tsuki?" a voice came from behind her.
She turns around and comes face to face with Enmu, "It's beautiful, more beautiful then light of day." she turns back around and looks up at the sky.
"That's no reason to adore darkness Tsuki. Darkness can take over your sweet soul and you will be Tsuki no more."
"No darkness can take over me."
"You never know Tsuki." he takes a step closer to her.
Silence engulfs them for a few minutes then suddenly Tsuki quickly leaps out of the way of Enmu's katana.
"So you wish to fight me?" she calmly asks.
"No, I want to kill you." he dashes over to her thrusting his katana at her.
She dodges, "So be it. I will fight you, but you will not kill me." she pulls a katana straight out of the ground its blade burning with deep black flames of sorrow and hatred.
"You may be a God but that doesn't make you stronger!" he pulls his other katana out and gets ready to fight her.
She faces him, "Remember this well Enmu." she closes her eyes as a tear slides down her cheek. She slowly opens her eyes, "You were the first person I ever loved, but if killing me is what you really want to do then, I'll fight you till the end."
Shocked at these words Enmu was frozen in place. Staring at her as she goes into fighting stance. 'Tsuki you love me, but you never told me till now?' he thought to himself. Still in shock he doesn't notice her charging at him. He slowly closes his eyes and waits for his demise. She stops when the tip of her katana is only inches away from his heart. Silence follows her. He opens his eyes to see Tsuki frozen a few feet in front of him. He stares at her, "Why aren't you going to stab me?" he asks.
    She didn't answer.
"I thought you were going to fight me till the end?"
She stands up straight, "I won't battle someone who gives up so easily." she turns around and walks a ways away from him.
He gets in fighting position, "I was just shocked at what you said. I never thought you would think of me that way."
She turns around, "You know now why I made you leader of the guards. It wasn't because of your fighting skills or your attitude, it's because I loved you." she gets in fighting position also.
"I'm sorry Tsuki, you choose to love the wrong person."
"Seems as though I did." she says in a saddened tone.
Enmu charges at her. Tsuki charges at him. Their swords clash and they jump back getting ready to charge again.
"Kurimuzon Ketsueki Kouu!" a ball of flames forms in her palm, she grabs her katana. The black flames turn crimson red with blood and fire. She lets her hand drop, blood dripping from her palm.
Enmu stabs his katanas into the ground and creates a symbol around them, "Tsuin Doragon Taifuu!" wind starts to gather around his katanas. He takes his katanas and pulls them out. He charges at her, she stands her ground. "Tatsumaki Hinote!" a tornado forms as he slices his katana through the air.
Tsuki puts her sword up in front of her ready to block it. The wind turns into a swirling dragon and strikes her with full force knocking her into the water. "Mizu Boufuuu!" the wind around his left katana turns into water. He walks up to the water and puts the tip of his katana in it. A whirlpool starts forming. Tsuki struggles to get away but gets caught. She gets sucked down to the bottom of the creek. The whirlpool disappears and in its place a dragon appears heading for her, fangs bared.
'Mizu Bakudan!' forming a small bomb in her hand she throws it on the ground. It explodes causing sand and pebbles to spew up. Swimming as fast as she can she breaks the surface and Enmu is nowhere to be seen. She gets out and looks around ,"Where are you Enmu!?"
"My my Tsuki your drenched, look at your beautiful long hair all wet and messed up."
    "Show yourself!"
"What do you mean I'm right here?"
She looks around and still he is not to be seen.
"He he he...you've fallen in to my illusion."
"What!?" she looks carefully around, 'But it looks just like the creeks bank. How is he doing this?' she thinks to herself.
"I would like to show you something Tsuki my dear."
The creek, forest, shore, everything around her starts changing into when Enmu was first accepted into the village. Standing at the gate she sees herself and Enmu standing alone. " Welcome to our village. Come with me I'll show you around."
"Please I don't need to be shown around the village."
"Oh, but it's my duty to show new arrivals around the village."
    "Miss..."
    "My name's Tsuki."
"Miss Tsuki, there is no need to show me around I'll figure everything out on my own."
Tsuki bows, "Very well then." she turns and walks towards her home.
Enmu stands there and stares at her...."Wait!"
She stops and turns back around, "Yes?"
    "Uhm, may I....uhm.....come with you?"
    She smiles, "Of course."

'He's acting just like he likes me, I don't remember him being like that."
    "So this is your home?"
"Yes it's where I live for the time being."
    "For the time being?"
"Uh, never mind forget I even said that."
    "But-"
    "It's nothing to worry about."
    "Okay....."
"So how did you get separated from the Sumizome."
"During the war me and my sister were separated from our parents. I was only 5 and my sister was 3. We ran for almost all our lives. We finally found this place a few months ago, I'm 23 and my sister is 21."
"Must have been hard. How did you and your sister ever survive that long?"
"We hid. We hid in caves, holes, abandoned houses, and up in trees."
"I bet your glad to be back in the village."
"Yes, I didn't mention I was from here cause then everyone would come out and greet me. I didn't want that. I was very popular when I was young, I was helping in the fight...I was forced too. My father had to not train me at all."
"You must be very strong then."
    "Oh, yes I am."
    Tsuki giggles.
"So...do you have any loved ones here?"
"....Sadly I do not. I may be the leader but people don't look up to me like a village would look up to their leader."
"So what your trying to say is, your alone?"
"Exactly. I don't mind being alone though, but I sometimes get real lonely that I wish I had a boyfriend to comfort me."
Enmu looks at her, "A boyfriend?"
    Tsuki nods.
"Thank you for letting me tag along and see your beautiful house but I must be getting back to my sister now."
Tsuki bows slowly, "Your welcome. Don't be afraid to ask me anything about the village." Tsuki slowly walks off behind her house.
Enmu watches her go and as she disappears he whispers to himself, "I won't be here for long Tsuki....I'm sorry." he turns and walks to where his sister is now staying.

"So you see now why I'm fighting you?" he asks.
"No, that didn't tell me anything." she watches the illusion fade, "Why did you bring back that memory?" There was no answer. "Why Enmu, why that memory?" Still no answer, "ANSWER ME!!" she yells with tears streaming down her cheeks.
    "My dear Tsuki, calm yourself."
    "You lied to me Enmu."
"What do you mean I never lied to you about anything?"
"You said you were going to be my friend till the end of time. Stay with me forever...but you lied you never wanted to be my friend never, you just wanted to get my friendship then run off and leave me heartbroken forever."
"No, I was going to leave because I knew I couldn't be with you for that long."
    "Why couldn't you!?"
"I loved you too much I was afraid of hurting you."
    "That's a lie!!"
    "It's not a lie Tsuki!"
"You were going to leave me alone just like the rest of this village. I was put under leadership by force cause my parents are dead they're now the Gods who protect the demons. I am no use to them now nor to this village."
"Yes, you are people are just to shy to admit it."
"Shut up!! I have no purpose in this world.....SO JUST KILL ME AND GET IT OVER WITH!!!!"
she looks up at him with tear filled eyes.
Some guards on patrol heard Tsukis screams and came running.
Tsuki quickly turns her head to the bushes where they were coming from.
"Get out of here Tsuki." Enmu says to her quietly.
She shakes her head with a small sad smile across her face. She transforms into a random person who's not part of the village.
"No, Tsuki don't you'll be killed."
"Who goes there!?" one of the guards yell as he's coming out of the bushes.
"Enmu! and...who are you?" the other asks.
    "My names Kainashi Soshite Hitoribocchi."
    The guards ready their weapons.
    Tsuki gets ready to fight.
The guards charge. Tsuki waits for them to stab her.
Enmu quickly uses a move known as Misuto Suteppu, and grabs Tsuki then jolts off towards the gate. He reaches the gate and jumps over it. He runs far away from the village then sets Tsuki down. She transforms back, "Why did you do that!?"
    "To protect you!"
"I don't need protecting I was going to let them kill me on purpose!"
"Why because you think that no one loves you!?"
    "Yes!"
"Tsuki look around you, what do you see?"
Tsuki looks around and sees nothing but an open field of grass as empty as space.
"There's nothing here but me, you, and the grass. Do you feel lonely or safe?"
Tsuki didn't say anything while she stared down the field.
"People sometimes find solitude to be the best company. How about you, are you sure you would rather be around a bunch of people or keep your solitude?"
"I.....would like to keep my solitude, but I still want someone else with me so I don't get lonely." she looks at him.
"I wish I could stay with you but I'm sure you don't want me near you now." he smiles, "I will leave you here and go back, get my sister, and leave. We will probably never see each other again. I will bid you last farewell and be on my way....Good bye my beloved Tsuki I hope that in time we shall meet again." he turns and walks back towards the village.
She watches him, the wind gently blowing her hair. When he is far away she starts to cry and runs after him. Before she can get a chance to catch up he uses Misuto Suteppu and is gone in a flash. She stops and stares at the spot where he once stood, "Enmu.....I love you." as she says this the wind blows and carries one of her tears with it. She stands alone in the field waiting for him to change his mind and turn around. She waited for hours and finally decided it was time to give up all hope of seeing him again. She hadn't realized it before but in her heart she truly loved him and now he's gone.
"I vow from this day forward that I will not leave this field until he comes back to me." she stabs her sword into the ground to symbolize this and begins walking down the field.

Chapter 2 Falling Rain How It Stains My Heart

It has been ten years since Tsuki and Enmu parted ways. Tsuki lay in wait underground in a coffin she built for herself to sustain her life. She shall be there as long as Enmu is away. Even though she is underground there is no sign that she is buried there except the sword she stabbed in the ground so many years ago. Many people pass by the field and see the rusted sword, they would pray. One day a man and a girl pass by the field. The man sees the sword and walks over,"What's wrong is that sword important?" the women asks.
"How did this happen?" he touches the sword,"How the hell did this happen!!?"
"Please Enmu, my dear brother calm yourself."
"My dear Tsuki how did this happen to you?" he drops to his knees and grabs the swords hilt, "Tsuki why, why did this happen to you, why, why, why?"
"Enmu we mustn't stay this is an open field we'll be seen."
"SHUT UP!!" he watches as the tears fall from his cheeks and onto the ground, "She was the only reason I came here, I wanted to see if she stayed here and waited for me, but instead I come back to see this...after so many years you just decided to give up, am I right Tsuki?" he smiles sadly at the ground. He closes his eyes and lets his arms go limp.
"Brother, she's not worth standing out in the open for now let's go!"
There was no answer, Enmu was frozen where he sat saddened by what is in front of him. It slowly begins to rain, "Leave me here Rosuto, go to the nearest village and stay there, I will come to find you soon."
"No!!" she walks up to her brother, "I will not leave without you brother!" she starts to cough roughly.
"You can probably find a village that has something to ease what you have."
"You said you were going to stay with me until I found one, then you were going to go look for this girl Tsuki."
"I didn't know I would come to see this."
"She's not worth staying here brother, she's dead she has no more use to you!"
"Yes she does!! She was the only one I ever loved and now she's gone."
Only the sound of the rain could be heard now that it has gotten so bad. The ground below Enmu starts to crumble. Not noticing this he falls into a deep hole with a black coffin at the bottom. He stares at the coffin tears flowing out of his eyes. Suddenly the lid moves. He looks at it wide eyed. It moves again. He stands up looking at it. It flies off with him on it making him fly out of the hole and into the forest about 20 feet away, hitting a tree as he lands. Tsuki leaps out of the hole. After so many years of being underground her hair has changed color and has gotten alot longer her eyes now glow in the dark and are really sensitive to the sunlight. She stares Rosuto down with a glare.
"Wh-Who are you?" Rosuto asks taking a step back.
In a raspy low voice Tsuki says, "Your not him, where is he I know he's here." she takes a step towards Rosuto.
Enmu uses Misuto Suteppu and appears in between them, "Tsuki my dear your alive!" he smiles happily.
She turns away from him and walks away, after so many years of waiting she can finally leave the field. Seeing his face again was the one thing she wanted out of her life and now that has been fulfilled she can now wander the Earth in search for someone else to love.
"Tsuki! Where are you going!?" he runs up to her and grabs her shoulder, "Please d-."
    "Let go!"
    "But Tsuki I thought..."
"You left me here for ten years and you expect me to go jumping into your arms. I've had a lot of time to think and change. You are no longer the one I love. I shall now wander the Earth and find a new one, one that won't leave me like you did."
    "I-"
"You never loved me anyway!" she yanks her shoulder out of his grasp and continues walking.
He grabs her shoulder again, "That's not true, I loved you, I loved you a lot and I still do that's why I came back."
She tries to yank her shoulder out of his grasp again, he just grips tighter, "Let go Enmu!!"
"No, I'm not letting you go!"
She begins struggling. He keeps his grip on her shoulder. She struggles more and more. He grabs her other shoulder and turns her around, he grabs both her wrists tightly, "You say I never loved you, I left you here for a reason. You were much safer away from me. I'm a rouge Tsuki, I was banished from the Sumizome for killing my parents out of rage. What I told you was a lie all of it was a lie and I'm sorry I never told you the truth."
Tsuki was silent. She stared at him stunned by what she heard. After a few seconds she tries to free her arms. He keeps his grip and get closer to her. She tries to back away but her effort was futile. He leans his head closer to hers. She tries even harder to refuse and get away. He stops only inches from her lips, he smiles a small soft smile and whispers,"This might make things a little more clear for you." he leans in a little more and kisses her. She tries to struggle but he wraps his arms around her tightly pulling her closer. After about a minute he releases the kiss and lets her go. She backs up. He stares at her with a soft calm look in his eyes, "Do you believe me now when I say I love you?"
A long silence was in the air before she spoke, "No, you left me here for ten years and never came back for me within those years. It'll take a miracle before you can win back my love." she turns around and jolts off.
Enmu watches her leave, his eyes foggy with tears. He turns around and grabs the sword that Tsuki had stabbed in the ground. He looks at his sister with grief and sorrow in his eyes. He pulls the sword out and aims it for his chest.
