- As the pebble skims over the water, it leaves a trail of dents, as if it was taking a leisurely stroll. The ripples look like dark roses opening, in the morning, from a lengthy overnight rest. They spread out slowly as if they are a little chick, learning to fly. As the pebble looses momentum,, it slowly sinks to the bottom. Left for an eternity in the cold, dark pond. Forever lying, almost in wait for another person to pick it back up and skim it over the water once more.
