• As he got closer, my legs began to tremble more, and my memory seemed to be erased. Why was he coming closer? A blurred vision overcame me as I stumbled backwards, and fell upon a dull knife. I could feel hot, crimson liquid coat itself on my back, smearing the hidden tattoo that said his name. I listened closer, for I knew I was fainting, and I couldn't miss what else would become of me through silent echoes. My eyes widened, and I seemed to awaken from an internal smumber as he placed a gun by my head. "You think you can outsmart me with your foolish matrimony?" He carefully, gracefully slid my wedding ring off my blood-rusted finger. He brought it close to his eyes so to study the engravement: "Forever shall we be, forever shall we love," he read. A sick smile slid upon his lips. I tried to scream, but he forced the gun down upon a pressure point on my neck. "One sound, and I'll kill you..." his eyes were pure rage.
