As I laid down on the grass of the school's oval in the fresh morning air, I realized that today was a different day. It was calm, peaceful, monotonous, but most of all, dark.
I could tell a figure was approaching me but as the way I was positioned, I couldn't tell who.
The figure seemed to be an old man, and mumbled, "Adda radda mac, tagger, hagga, Captain Falcon!" but for some reason I could understand it. It said, "Nice day today, isn't it, Captain Falcon?"
I thought the words, "I guess so," but out came, "Allorz aka-lin"
This day just couldn't get any weirder...
All of a sudden a MASSIVE Orc-Beetle-thing rose from the ground behind me. As I felt the dirt land on my face I jolted my body up so fast my mind couldn't keep up.
    "GOOLAZ DANDELIONS~" The Orc-Beetle yelled.
I panicked and asked the old man to translate, "Jarl obelika kas?"
The old man yelled back, "I haven't used this language in a long time! I might take a while to translate!"
"You spoke English this whole time?!"
The man was ignoring me, busy with his translating, so I looked around for a weapon.
In the ground near my feet was a convenient stone of opal, the most scarce stone in this world*. It wasn't quite convenient as a weapon to fight with but to share with my mate, that is, if I survived. I pocketed the shard and decided to punch the Orc-Beetle's knee.
    "FALCON PUNCH!"
It hurt my hand, but it knocked out the beast in one fierce blow. Who knew that such a strong creature's weak point was the knee? I apparently did.
As I struck a pose of victory, the man yelled at me.
"He asked to a flower to eat!"
    "Any specific one?"

    "DANDELIONS!"

*In the year 3286DQ of this world people discovered its magical property to summon any flower the wielder thought of and decided to farm it. At that time people didn't know that is was a one use stone, but soon realized that it was and farmed as much as they could.
