• Chapter two

Jasmine had never seen so many guys halfed dressed in her life. She looked around the hallway they went throught
"Actually, I was wondering, where is the dining room?" she asked, getting nervous at the thought of going to dinner.
"Well every dorm has one, but in different places. So usually people don’t eat in their own dorms, and just go to each others’. I stay here because they have good food; the dinning room is on the other side of the lounge."
He guessed by the look on her face that she was clueless. "Just follow me to it every day ‘til you know were it’s at."
She looked at him and smiled. "He’s not that bad of a guy…."
    "Watch out!"
A dude with glasses and tight pants and a baggy forest shirt came by holding out a tray full of food.
"That’s Archie. He may look smart, but the only smart thing about him is that he can get here to grab some food before anyone else." He began to point to some others:
First was Jeffy, who had a nice shaved head and an earring in and baggy clothes. "That’s Jeffy, you already met him. He tries to act black, but he’s whiter than half the people at this school put together. He’s actually pretty smart, but he’s more into himself than his grades."
Then he pointed to a boy who was sprinting away from the other one boy. "That’s Kip, the one who’s running away. The other one is Mac you see, Mac is not gay, or that’s what he says, but he’s in love with Kip."
Mac gave up running, turned to, and strode over to them. He was more of a girl than she was. He had long hair and blue eyes.
"You must be Ryan. I’m going to warn you stay away from my man!" he said and then walked away. Kip shook his head running away again with his shot hair and green eyes sparkling.
"He does that to all the new kids– warns them." He said, patting her back. She looked up at the clock and saw the time, and said "I’m going to just grab one thing and call home."
She went over and bought a hamburger and went to the phone at the desk and waited for the phone to be answered.
    "Hello?" It was her mother.
"Hey, Mama," she said in her normal voice, trying to hide it from the guys.
"Oh, sweetie pie! I miss you so much! If I were there, I’d kiss your pretty nose! Mommy loves you sooo much!"
Her mother was always like that.
"Mama, how’s Kimmberly?" She always asked it before anything else.
"Kimmberly is still in the state you left her in– crying or sleeping– it’s gotten worse since you been gone, but she started talking again to us, but only asking for food or for you…. She really misses you."
"I know, Mama, but I have to do this. Give her the phone." She heard breathing.
"Kimmy, honey, it’s your sister." She talked to Kimmy like she was the younger sister, even though Kimmy was 17, and she was only 16.
"J-Jazzi w-w-w-where’d y-y-you g-go?" Kimmberly had begun to talk like that since two months ago.
"I told you I was leaving to go to that evil boys’ school. I’m going to help you. He'll be gone for a long time– you won’t ever have to see him again."
Kimmberly, she guessed, dropped the phone. What she heard was crying and she waited for her mother or father to pick up the phone. Her mother did.
"Sweetie, call back later this week. I have to go– I love you."
She hung up the phone and went outside. She walked over to the soccer field and sat down, looking up at the sky, she started to cry. She then heard footsteps and turned to see Zack jogging towards her.
"Hey, you must be Ryan. Sorry I didn’t chat to you earlier. The evil skunk-man had me run." He then noticed her tears. "Bro’, what’s up?"
"Uh, I poked my eye," she came with a fast response even though it was really lame, he bought it.
"Oh, all right, see you in the dorm," he said and ran to the dorm.
"I guess he runs at all times," she sighed, shaking her head. She stood up, brushed her pants, and started to walk back ‘til she got to the dorm. She peered inside to see everyone starting to head back to their bed rooms.
"I guess they’re going to become my extended family for a while…."
