• The every first night at the Young Sir's home, he announced that I was here to stay.
"This is Ritsuka Cat" he gestured toward me, “she shall be living with us now" to my amazement the servants began to clap and say warm welcomes. "Welcome Miss" "Glad to have you" "your a lovely child" and an assortment of other things.
Young Sir held up his hand for everyone to quiet down. "I am giving her a nickname" I looked at him surprised, the room remained silent. "She is my "Little Kitten". No one is allowed to call her that but me. You all shall address her as "Lady Ritsuka". The room was early silent. I could hear whispers but that didn't seem to bother the Young Sir. Than I saw a boy run off; I wondered who he was.
    ...
two weeks went by slowly. I barley spoke, still not comfortable here, but I warmed up to the idea. Being clean felt different and being dressed in Young Sir's fancy cloths was even more different. The dress I had on today was white with black lace, black lacey gloves and black bows decorated my hair. A black lace choker with a small bell circled my neck.
I liked to venture about my new home. All the rooms were white or a light cream color. Only the bedrooms had carpeting, the rest of the house had marble flooring. The furniture was white with gold trimmings. Every window was draped with white silk and black lace.
I heard the bell chime for dinner to begin. I usually ate alone; no one really ate at the same time I did. I headed toward the dinning room when I spotted the boy from the first night.
I skipped over to him smiling, "would you like to come and eat with me?" I asked him. He glared at me. He may have looked like the Young Sir, but his eyes were blue and piercing. "I don’t eat with the new pets" he turned around and ran off, just like the first night.
I was about to chase after him, but something orange caught my eye. It was an orange cat! I had no idea that the Young Sir kept cats!
"Here kitty" I said holding out my hand to it. She padded over and started too rubbed against my leg purring. One of the servants, who’s name I think was Ai, was walking by when she spotted me, "Oh, I see you finally meet one of the Sir's many cars" she smiled and hurried off to do her chore.
"Would you like to come and eat with me?" I asked the cat. As if the cat knew what I had said, she meowed and I took that for a yes.
I sat at a chair that I decided that would be mine. I watched my new cat friend lap up warm milk. I munched on a piece of honey bread as I thought to myself. What could this cats name be? Than I realized that I didn't know a lot of peoples names.
I knew who Ai was because she helped me chose my room. I chose the one right across from the Young Sir.
My eyes widened, I didn't know what the Young Sir's name was.
"Lady Ritsuka? If you are done, could you bring down your dirty clothing" I turned around to see a handsome man, must have been only 17. His hair was silver and eyes were red. He was lean and tall, but still not taller than the Young Sir. Scruff covered his chin.
I nodded and grabbed my new cat friend and hurried off to my room. The cloths were inside my large walk in closet filled with cloths I have yet to even look at. I brought them down leaving my cat behind. I came back to find the cat pawing at my window.
I walked over to it and look out side. Birds were chirping away in the tree that was so close that one branch extended out under my window. I opened it to let the cat out. She jumped on the branch and stealthily made her way to the birds.
I tried to close the window only to fail. The window was stuck. I was about to leave when I saw Ai at the Flower Garden. She was on her knees tending to it. She was surrounded by...cats! More cats! Excited I ran out to meet them ignoring the clouding sky.
    ...
Ai and I were eventually rained out by the rain. It was night now and I lay shivering in my bed. Rain and cold wind pored in though the open window that I had forgotten to shut. I curled up into my fluffy blankets to try and get warmer, they were not doing good job of it.
Fed up I tossed the blankets aside only to get hit with a cold rain filled wind. I shivered and stepped out of bed. I hiccupped in surprise. The floor was even colder and wet. My white slip with black lace fluttered in the lashing wind. Lighting flashed and thunder soon fallowed.
I escaped through the door in to the warmer hallway. I tiptoed over to Young Sir's door. A dim light shone from under it. Turning the glass door knob, I stepped inside. Young Sir was standing by his window, drapes pulled back. He was reading to the light of a wick in a black burning oil bowl.
He turned his gaze toward me. "What’s my Little Kitten doing up so late?" he asked smiling. I folded my hands behind my back; I was still not used to being alone with the Young Sir. "My window is stuck open and letting in all the cold and rain." turning toward me he said, "well, that wont do at all" he said making his way to ward me. He bent down to mach my gaze. "Would you like to sleep in my bed to night, Little Kitten?"
I blushed and nodded. He lifted me up into his arms and cradled me like I was an actual kitten. I hiccupped in surprise. He walked me over to his bed and lay me down drawing the covers over me.
"Young Sir?" I asked remembering what I had realized earlier that day. "Yes Little Kitten?" he said with a smile. "May I ask you a question?" I said blushing slightly.
He laughed, "You may ask me anything my Little Kitten" he said ruffling my hair and suppressed more laughter. I covered my face with the blankets. "What is your name?" I asked hoping not to anger him. He could no longer hold it, he started to laugh again. "My name? Kittens don’t need to know names, only masters. Now, go to sleep" he leaned over and kissed my forehead. Before I could ask him what that meant, I started to feel very tired and soon I was asleep.
    ...
slowly I came into consciousness. My eyes felt heavy with sleep. I opened them to find I was no longer in my room, I didn't remember where I was. How did I get here? I thought to myself. I shifted a little and felt something against my back. I looked over to find the Young Sir sleeping and I trapped in his arms.
I hiccupped in surprise. He was curled around me protectively as I lay against his stomach. The Young Sir's eyes opened slightly, just like a lazy cat would do.
"The Kitten stirs, but why so early? Its still night out" he said still sleepy, "Kittens must sleep or they will have no energy" he nestled his head against mine and held me tighter.
"I can not sleep when my mind wonders" I said still trying to remember what had happened. "What could a Little Kitten be wondering about at this hour at night?" he asked curiously. I thought a moment and than it all came back to me, including my unanswered question.
"I wonder what your name is." I said to myself so that he could hear me. He chuckled, "as I said before, Kittens don’t need to know names, only masters." I turned around to face him, "but what if this Kitten gets lost? I can not go around asking where my master is" I looked angry and he laughed at me. "You make a most adorable angry kitten, a man would love to make you his. That is way I will never let you leave here.
"But I must leave the house one day" I protested, “will get older" the Young Sir only held me tight frowning. We stayed like that for a moment. Than I said, "Young sir?"
"You wont get older I have anything to do with it. You shall stay my Little Kitten. I shall keep you safe and happy right here."
This time, I was the one it frown, "but by not telling me your name I am not happy and it hurts me" I said angrily. He loosened his grip, "that will not do" he spoke quietly "must you know my name Little Kitten?
"Yes! If you don’t tell me than I shall never let you call me 'Little Kitten' ever again" my voice was almost at a shot now. He lowered his face so that I could not see it. "Your words cut deep for some one so small." he sounded as though my words really did hurt him.
He looked at me with his honey colored eyes and brushed hair off my face and kissed my forehead. Suddenly, I felt sleepy again. My eyes were drooping shut. "I shall tell you my name Ritsuka. It is ..."
