• Chapter 4
    The Truth

After school I ran home, never saying a word to Steven, Maria, or Tommy. I just couldn't stay there today. I kept seeing the kid I beat up when I was ten, and now looking in my mind I saw three teenagers I beat up by myself.

I dropped my books on the kitchen table and out my coat in one of the chairs. And then I saw on the table the letter that was given to me, so that I could give it to my dad. I took a glimse of it and looked in the fridge. But I thought I saw something in the letter than caught my eye. What was it? A name! But it seemed important, as much as I didn't want to invade privacy I had to see. I read the letter, and I say the name, It was the name of our mayor. And the I began to pick out words that came to my eye.

Then at the bottom, I found out what his job was...

You will assassinate the mayor of your city, Marcus Tallbout.

Then I knew what was wrong with me, I must have inherited some assassin gene. And if Steven and Maria knew what my father and their father did considering they knew that our fathers worked together, than they must have the gene too.
