    |~ Humanity and Insanity ~|
    ~ ~ A Legend of Zelda Fanfiction~ ~

Link was probably annoyed, he was sitting down on the green grass in the field of Hyrule, fixing his fairy bow since the string broke off once again. That was when he found out that a certain fairy was missing, Navi."God dang it!" Link yelled agitated. He lifted his head after finally fixing it and setting it down, crossing his arms. "Now, Navi... where are you?" he lifted his hat and blinked, putting it back on his head than looked in his pouches, pockets, everything, didn't find her. "This is no game! I HATE GAMES!" Link finally stood when Epona stared at him regardless as if he thought Link was going crazy. Believe it or not Link was missing the little fairy.

"HEY! LINK!" A figure came walking his way and Link turned towards the female, his hand rubbing the back of his head giving a soft smile. "Hey... uh... may I help you miss?" he asked, looking the female up and down, viewing she had light blue hair, blue eyes, and a blue dress like uniform, he than noticed the wings. I think I am seeing things, but I wonder who this chick is... It was probably the first time he's ever seen something like this, a human fairy? He blinked once more and waited her response. "It's me, Link. Navi." She stated clearly. Link shook his head. "Navi? Seriously. Nah." Link turned, grabbing his bow and hooking it to his back, getting up onto the horse.

"I'm serious." She responded in her happy like tone of voice,... that gave it out to the hero of time, he looked at her with a blank stare. "There you are... sorry. Uh, what happened to you?" he asked. Navi came closer, climbing up onto the horse behind him and smiled. "Honestly, I'm not sure, Link." She shrugged her slender shoulders and smiled. "Perhaps I won't be as annoying." She stated rather happily, Link only mumbled to himself in an annoyance. Yeah, I think that will get worst... Link replied, to him, he guessed she would be entirely annoying since she can walk and about on her own. Not to state that she has a louder voice. Navi bluffed. "What?" she though she heard his mumble but apparently not. Navi tightened her arms around him with a giggle that made Link jump just a little in surprise. "Navi what the--" he was cut short when Epona started to gallop off rather quickly, Navi laughed since she was the one that made the horse go. Oh, she laughed so hard it was uncontrollable. "I sure do hate that..." Link responded, getting Epona to slow down just a bit before giving the horse a wanting carrot. There there. Link smiled. "So, where are we?" she asked, getting off the horse and followed through the tunnel. "NAVI! Hey,... you!!! GET BACK HERE!!!" he yelled, running after her until they both found themselves in Kokiri Forest. "OOH! heheh...." Navi scratched the back of her head. Link panted and leaned forward some. "Navi, you know... you're a real pain in the a**." he stated. Navi grabbed his hand, running and looked up. "Hey look, it's your house! I bet you can't fit in it anymore!" she teased, climbing up the ladder, Link followed suit and looked around when they both entered. "Heheh, you were short." Navi giggled, lifting up a jar and setting it back down, sitting down. They weren't really that tall, Navi was just messing with him. "You're not very nice, Navi." the blond stated, sitting at her side. Navi's arms were wrapped around her legs and giggled. Than again, it seriously has been a long time since we were both around these woods. I wonder how Saria is doing. Link wondered off in thought until Navi got closer, resting her head on his shoulder. "Navi what are yo-" he stopped when he saw her eyes close for a second, he stuttered some and shook lightly before stopping. Navi leaned up once again. "I'm sorry, am I making you feel uncomfortable?" she asked, getting closer to nearly spook the man. Link blinked. "No why? Are YOU ok?" he asked, Navi shook her head and brushed her painted blue lips to his with a kiss and giggled, she went to stand but Link grabbed her hand, pulling her back down. "Don't leave, Navi." he replied, probably a fainted blush appeared across his cheeks. Damn this fairy chick... well, at least she's nice? Zelda would never do such a thing. Link thought, he scratched the back of his head once again and suddenly, well, unexpectedly wrapped his arms around the fairy and pulled her closer. Navi's blue eyes widened in surprise and smiled, wrapping her arms around him.

Navi smiled softly, carefully running her hands up his back, reaching under his Tunic from the belt, rubbing his back, Link felt a chill down his spine and spoke quickly without thought. "Navi... Navi... NAVI! What are you doing?" he asked in stutter, feeling himself flush. Navi giggled. "Nothing Linky." she replied, only teasing the poor hero. Link fell back when she moved herself sitting on his back, using the support of his arms, Link kept himself leaned up some, starring at her with intention. "Navi." Link spoke sternly, when she looked at him he gave a slight grin. "Yeah?" she responded.

    "Navi. . ."
    "I'm listening."
    ". . .Navi."
    "Link?"

Navi blinked rather confused, Link pulled her closer, placing his lips to hers remorsefully, tightening his arms around her. Navi's eyes remained opened, widening more with confusion. Until her eyes closed, kissing him in return until she realized what she was doing. She pulled away slightly and backed up. "Link. . . what was that for? I mean. . . I'm sorry." Navi shook nervously. "No, I'm sorry Navi." Link stated with a sigh, coming closer to her, pinning her down and nibbling on her pale neck.

Her skin is so soft,. . . it's so white. Thoughts ran through his mind, until Navi finally gave him, kissing him until she suddenly smacked him when she felt his hand land some where she never expected from him.

"OUCH! Link rubbed his cheek, Navi laughed to herself when she saw the fading hand print. "Watch your hand Mr.!" Navi stated. Link shrugged. "Can't help my manly instincts..." Link replied smartly.

    "Navi?"
"What do you want?" Now HE is the one being annoying
    "Navi, I love you."

    Seriously...
"I uh. . . love you too Link?" Navi responded unsurprisingly.
    "Navi?"
    "Hmm?"

Link, catching her off guard once more, took her into his arms.

Perhaps some time passed away, Navi leaned up holding her head. "LINK GIVE ME THAT!" she took the blouse belonging to her and held it in front of her, than put it on quickly and fixed herself and her hair. Link leaned up with Navi's help, perhaps out of it. "Oh Linky!" Navi waved her hand in front of him and blinked. Link shook his head. "Yeah?" he stood, brushing himself off.

"Link, let's go!" she stated, dragging him out of the home and off the ladder, accidentally pushing him off and hitting the ground. "SORRY!"

When they entered the woods, Navi looked around. "Hope we don't get lost."

"Lost? HA! Navi I grew up around here."
    "Uh, Link?"
    "Yeah?"

Navi went towards Link, "DON'T GO THAT-" Navi blinked and watched as Link was thrown towards her, they both were tossed into a puddle by a dog like guard. Navi sighed. "Link watch where your goi-LINK!" Navi nearly freaked, she leaned him up and snapped. "DAMMIT!" she was probably lucky a fairy fountain was just nearby. Navi wasn't a healing fairy, she was like a guardian and look out type. She placed her hand on his wound on his chest and sighed. Climbing above on high grounds, dragging him down a hole until accidentally dropping him at the end.

    "WATCH IT NAVI!"
"Well, we wouldn't be in this MESS if it wasn't for YOU."

Navi dragged him to the middle of the fountain and backed off, until she saw him stand tall once again, the fairies dancing around him like crazy. "ALRIGHT PIXIES. he's healed..." she replied. Link laughed. "Jealous Navi?" he stated, smirking, playing with the little pink fairies. Navi stomped her feet. "HE'S MINE!!!" Navi yelled, trying to fight with the little fairies, only making Link fall over laughing.

    "Come here sweetie." Link teased.
    "No."
    "Oh come on Navi."
    "No."
    "Navi."
    "No."

Link gave in. He resumed walking around the fountain. Navi had a tear fell and ran off, exiting the fountain and leaving the woods. Link watched this and sighed, to him, he thought she only went out, not realizing she was gone gone back to Hyrule fields.

Link shrugged and left, "Navi?" he looked around. Damn it, Navi. I'm sorry... he looked upon and left, heading near the forest temple, and when he did, he got out his ocarina, playing a melody that would take him to the temple of time.

When he arrived, he exited, getting through the old city and out onto the field, getting upon Epona when calling for her and went searching for her.

I didn't mean for her to go away... I feel so bad.

    meanwhile...

Navi found herself, of course, captured on accident. Navi sat there watching the bandits. Bandits who caught a fairy girl because of the way she looked, note that she was the only one walking around like a human. Navi sighed. I probably shouldn't have run off. Navi thought, until a man came up to her, she used her arms and legs and dragged herself backwards away. "Hey there miss fairy." he called, Navi raised an eye brow. "Ew ew ew..." Navi whispered.

"Ah come on, I won't hurt you."
    Like hell you will...
    "Miss Fairy, Miss Fairy!"
    "GO AWAY!"

Navi was grabbed by the wrist until Link arrived on horse back, shooting the back of the three men with his arrows.

"Navi..." Link dropped everything and got off his horse without thinking, rushing to her side, wrapping his arms around her tightly and protectively. "Don't you scare me like that!" he responded. Navi just remained still, taking ten minutes before her arms wrapped around him, tightly. She lost control and burrowed her face into his chest, crying.

"Aw Navi..." Link replied rather soothingly. He was the one nearly frightened. He could sworn he lost her, not by death, but by the fact he made her upset back at the fairy fountain. Navi remained silent, with blue tears running down from her sapphire eyes. Link only tightened his arms around her. "It's ok Navi, it's ok." Link stated simply. Not sure what to say in this kind of situation.

Navi moved back into a seated position, wiping her eyes until the tears stopped flowing and looked at him. "I won't run off again." Navi promised, Link took her by the wrists and hushed her. "Navi calm down." he replied, giving her a saddened look. "Here, come on. Let's go to the lake, perhaps you can relax there." Link replied, he got her up on Epona's back and instead, walked the horse.

    Two Hours Later. . .

"HEY LINK!" Navi giggled, sitting on the beach side, watching Link as he was fishing. Navi couldn't help but giggle, to her it was funny, to watch the fish set itself lose after being caught. "What the-" Link was agitated, he couldn't catch a specific fish, and he kept trying different angles. Navi giggled. "NAVI STOP LAUGHING! It's not. . . funny." he replied, tossing the rail in, when he tried multiple times, he threw the fishing rod to the ground and stomped on it. "Stupid thing!" yelled he. "HEY! That doesn't belong to you. Take care of s**t you borrowed!" yelled the guy at the register. Navi shook her head, laughing so hard tears escaped her eyes, perhaps that was a sign of a good thing. Until Link returned the fishing rod and went back over to her, sitting at her side.

Link was pacing back and fourth, his hands laced together behind his back and than stopped, stomping his foot on the ground. It had been a few months and nothing was happening. It all just seemed strange to him. "Navi," Link started, looking up at the sky. They were in Lon Lon Ranch, why? Link decided that Navi should come here, it was better here than any where else. Malon, a kind girl who once cared for Epona, had Navi up in a room, tending to Navi for the poor girl was in labor. It frightened Link, not only frightened, but he was nervous.

Until Malon excited the room. "Link..." she stated, and came down the stairs.
