• tab Deep scarlet petals fly through the air. Cillia lay on her side, legs broken, and back gashed, arms bruised, body too weakened to move. She watches the people around her fall by the hands of monsters. The monsters—a giant wolf-like human the size of a house—were sent free as a villain signed a contract with them. Cillia sees gushes of red whine pool onto the ground. Screams of the dieing and running fills her ears enough to deafen her, but she’s too shocked to hear a thing. When people got killed before her eyes, she feels nothing. When the monsters howled with pleasure as they drank blood, she hears nothing—nothing but the voice of her mind repeating the words in a lifeless tone.
tab I failed to protect them. This is my fault. They’re dieing because of me. It’s my fault. It’s my fault. It’s my fault…
tab Her eyes fluttered then finally closed once she fell unconscious. At that very moment, a man with night black hair stepped into the murderous field. He wore little army, only on his forearms, shins, and left shoulder. His right eye was hidden by an eye patch, but telling by the left side, you can see that his eyes are an ocean blue. A metallic mask was worn across his mouth like a bandit. Tied beside his hip was a gun holster, and judging by its size, it wasn’t a normal gun.
tab Survivors slid across the wet, bloody floor as they tried to flee. Someone saw the blue-eyed man and ran to him as they thought he was a knight, but they soon got picked up by one of the monsters and eaten. That same monster crunched and chewed the human, swallowed, and turns its attention to the man. It pounces towards him and stops a foot away in a crouching form. The man doesn’t budge an inch.
tab “You no like othur” the monster says without opening its razor teeth filled mouth.
tab The man grabs his gun and points it at the forehead of the beast. The gun was oddly shaped. It had a large revolver and it was the cleanest silver you can imagine. Strange symbols embedded around it.
tab The monster frowns. “You kill me? No kill me…I kill you—”
tab Without letting it finish speaking, he pulls the trigger. A bright blue light emits from inside the barrel. The symbols glowed a blinding white as the blue spiraled bullet shot all the way through its skull. The bullet seemed more like energy and it looked like lighting was surrounding it. The hole in the monsters head grew wider then it starts to crumble into dust.
tab The man had killed the beast. Everyone saw it. The other two monsters stared in disbelief as their fallen comrade’s dusty remains drifted away with the wind. There was a moment of silence. No one can kill a monster with such little effort. Who was this man? Then all at once, as if someone had flicked a switch, the survivors ran to him for help instead of focusing on leaving the scene. The two monsters charged at him too, not for safety, but for revenge. So little did they know, because in an instant, the man shot two of the same lightning blue bullets into their chest and throat. They crumbled away just like the first one did.
tab Everyone crowded around their savior, not knowing who he is, not knowing where he came from, and not knowing how he could kill monsters so easily. They don’t even know why he ignored them as he silently left just as he came.
