• tab It was a dark, dismal night; the kind of night that monsters love. The full moon was high in the pitch black sky. Only the haunting howls of Werewolves pierced the night air. They were hunting a young Human and their cries told that they had cornered it in an abandoned town.
tab The Human, a girl of 17, was backed into a dead end alley with 12 Werewolves before her in their wolf form, itching to tear her body to pieces. Her right leg was throbbing with pain from a bite one of the Werewolves had given her. She could feel the warm, wet blood running down her leg, slowly draining her strength. She knew that she had gotten herself in way over her head this time. Now she was going to pay for her arrogance with her life.
tab One of the Werewolves lunged at her just as her legs gave out from under her but she still managed to throw a silver dagger at it in a feeble attempt to protect herself. The creature yelped in pain as the silver weapon bit deep into it's shoulder and a faint smile flickered on the girl's face. The leader of the pack of Werewolves chose that moment to make its move. It leaped at her, aiming for her throat. The sight of the gigantic wolf, claws and razor sharp teeth ready to tear at her body, managed to rip a terrified scream from the girl's throat. She closed her eyes tightly, bracing herself for the impact and pain, but it never came.
