• There were people all around standing in the court. The music players had been told that there was a harp to be provided for playing but Yvany had gotten help to bring her own. Her's was finer than the one at the palace. Many had asked her how she had gotten it and she told of its tale of how her mother loved to play but they did not have a harp of there own. So one day her father, when he was much nicer and wasn't drunk as often, (before her mother died) set out to find what his wife wanted dearly, a harp. He had found the one Yvany had with her now, but it was miles away and the peddlar who had possension of the harp refused to help her father carry it back. Her father thought of his wife and how loving she was to him and carried it himself. It had taken five days to get there and back but he was delighted to see her mother's happy face. All the people had thought this was sweet so she didn't tell them what he had become now. They ate dinner first before anyone played but when the first song rung out above the crowd Yvany felt insanifigant. A couple of songs had played until it was Yvany's turn. All eyes were on her, especially Justin's, whose was over joyed to found out she intended to play. He thought she looked beautiful in the red and gold dress that Marsha had picked out for her. It made her look like an angel wearing the Devil's colors. She kept her eys away from his, however, to keep focus. She took a deep breath and let her fingers slowly strum the harp gently, just as she had in the room. Her song played loudly and sorrowfully through the court and almost everybody stood with their mouths wide open. No one had heard something so beautiful. Justin was slowly making his way through the crowd to Yvany, for the music had called to him once again and he intended to answer. The song was the same as before. It was telling of a love that wanted to be heard but every time the music got high as if it was to be told, it went low, again stating that this person was too afraid to say anything. The music slowed to a stop and Yvany opened her eyes which she had closed. Everyone clapped loudly, including Justin. His heart was filled over the top with joy. Yvany was the one who played the song that called to his heart. She was his true love just as he was her's. She curtsied and walked away leaving the other two people to play. As the music began some people began dancing and swaying around. Yvany had no intentions to do so, therefore, she kept on walking until she ran into Justin. Quite litterally. She stumbled backwards nearly running into the maid before Justin had caught her.
"Your song was lovely." Justin smiled helping Yvany keep her balance. There was a twinkle in his eye that waas warning Yvany that there was something that he wasn't telling her.
"Thank you, honestly, I had just played whatever was in my heart." she replied trying to decipher whatever had lit up his entire face. Was it happiness to her announcement?
"You mean, like your heart's true song?" he asked.
"Yes, percicely." she answered. His question had reminded her of those old tales her mother used to tell her, especially about your heart's true song.
"Do you know those tales, of how if you play your heart's song it will call your true love?" he asked tearing her from her memories.
"Yes, the real question is, do you believe them?" she asked more to herself.
    "Absolutely, do you?"
    "Suprisingly, yes."
    "How is that a surprise?"
"When I was younger I used to deny my mother and tell her she was wrong when the truth was, I believed her the whole time just as I do now."
Justin grinned and walked off, sastisfied with Yvany's reply. He left to find Sandra, the only one who would know his situation. He didn't have to go far considering he had invited her to help his relationship with Yvany. Sandra was standing at the out skirts of the court. Her curly blonde hair was in a neat bun on the top of her hair. She was wearing a lovely blue and green dress that had seafoam ruffles down the front. She was lovely but no one could compare to Yvany.
"Well someones looking handsome, showing off for Yavny I guess." Sandra teased turning to Justin.
"As you are showing off for Henry." Justin fired back. Sandra frowned and turned away.
"Well even if you are, you're doing a very good job at catching his eye." he said looking to Henry who was looking at Sandra from across the court. Sandra glanced in Henry's direction and flushed when their eyes connected. She gave him the courge and crossed the court to her. Jsutin left quickly giving them privacy. As Justin was making his way back to Yvany he saw Sandra and Henry dancing. Why can't I get the courage to ask Yavny to dance, he sighed. He watched as Yvany rushed out of the room throught the big doubled doors. He raced after her making sure not to bump into the couples.
Yvany didn't plan to stay, she had done what she needed to do and she suddenly wanted to go to the beach. She hurried throught the doors thinking about her song, the melody trapped in her head and not able to escape. She quickly walked through the corridor, her feet making a rythm that was interrupted by thuds behind her. She whirled around to see Justin rushing towards her. He stopped when he reached her and bent over bracing himself on his knees. He looked up to Yvany who was concerned he might just pass out.
"Why are you leaving, you said you were going to stay the night." he said still breathing hard.
"I am, I just was going to walk on the beach for a bit, I'll be back, I promise." she replied turning around to leave but he grabbed her hand and her heart lurched forward. She turned to face him.
"I'm coming with you." he said.
"But you have to judge the rest of the harp players." Yvany protested even though she wanted him to come.
"I already found the one song that called to me." he breathed taking a step closer.
"You mean, m-mine." she stuttered. Justin nodded and Yvany felt as if she was going to pass out.
"What do you mean, called to you?" she asked.
"I mean, that song with the melody so sweet but sad, the one you played captured my heart."
    "So that means-"
"You're my true love." he whispered pulling her to him. She was completely pressed against him.
"You don't know that, what if I don't love you?" she asked.
"Well, then I guess I shouldn't hold you against your will." he sighed, pain and agony in every inch of his voice. Justin released Yvany and was about to walk away before she turned him back around and hugged him tightly, not daring to let go.
"I never said I didn't love you." she whispered into his chest. He embraced her too, his heart feeling as if was going to burst with joy and love.
"But you never said you did, do you love me?" he asked.
"Of course, I always have and always will." she replied pulling back to look into his eyes.
"Then promise me you'll marry me." he said.
"I will." she vowed and he pressed his lips to hers gently but passionately. Yvany closed her eyes and prayed this moment would never end.
