• Chapter 2
The Fate of the World.. On my shoulders?!

I shook my head several times. "No..! I can't..! I'm.. I'm only Jin...! A normal boy..!" I screamed. My cup of tea shattered, and the contents spilled to the ground. "Listen Jin...! You're not alone on this journey! Many of us, especially me and 4 others will die because you must fulfill it! Fulfill the legend!" I felt his anger raising, but so was mine. "So what?! What about my parents?! What about my life?! I have feelings and clearly you don't understand them!" Konjii's anger must of been at the limit, for his voice boomed, as though causing the earth to shake. "SO WHAT?! JIN PEOPLE ARE DYING OUT THERE!" He pointed at the window, his finger shaking. "Your parents..?!! They aren't your parents! Your parents were celestial warriors! They died for the last savior! They died for YOU!" I grew pale at the truth. "Mr and Mrs Kazemaki .. Aren't my parents..?" I felt like crying. Crying with no end. The people whom I thought were my parents... Were people who were kind enough to take me in. "Whats my name then?!" I asked rather loudly. "You Jin.. You are Jin Kazuki. I'm sorry you had to find out this way.." Konjii replied quietly. "About... about this 'save the world' thing... Why do I have the fate of the world.. on my shoulders... ?" Konjii shook his head sadly. "I don't.. know. Fate must be testing our strength." "Well... If I die.. I will see my mother and father. My birth parents. But I want to live happily, to make them happy. Explain to me.. About this journey.." Konjii smiled. "Thank you. I will begin."

The legend states that a boy, young or old, will be chosen to be our savior. He is the Child of Death. He will be our savior. Once, the boy accepts, there is no turning back. He must find 5 companions. One of them shall tell him the truth, and face the power of him. The Child of Death must accept, or our world has no chance to survive. In order to defeat the Shadow Controller, trails are put in front to make him stronger. The five who will accompany him will have different traits. Strength, speed, intimidation, a sense to see things one shouldn't and finally fortune telling. In order to seek them, a challenge must be completed, or else one shall never find them, and our world is dead.

"How.. depressing." I stated. I eyed Konjii. "Your one companion right? Whats your trait?" He looked at me questioningly. "The sense." "But... then wouldn't you be able to see Azura?" Konjii shook his head. "Only you may see him, but I can hear him. I see ghosts, kind ghosts who actually protect me from evil ones. In war many ghosts appear. I also know when something will happen." I nodded. "What will I tell my mo- Mr and Mrs Kazemaki?" After many times, he shook his head once more. "They shall not know. We set out tonight and spend your last day with them." I stared at him in awe. "W-what?! My last day?!" He nodded and left the room. I began to tear. My last day with the people whom I thought gave birth to me. The people whom I grew to love. I left the house, staring out into the streets.

    Chapter 3
    My last day

As I walked towards the house I called home, I felt lonely and empty. At the door I straightened my back, wiped my tear-streaked face and walked in. "i'm home.." I yelled dully. I dropped my bag that I had apparently took with me and went into the living room. Mr and Mrs Kazemaki smiled sadly at me at the sight of my entrance. I knew it was sad because Mrs Kazemaki was tearing. "Mom... Dad..?" Mrs Kazemaki shook her head. "No... Mrs Kazemaki. I think.. he told you. We aren't.. your parents." I felt like tearing, but I had to be strong. I nodded weakly. "So.. Is this your final night..?" I nodded again. "Your welcome anytime Jin. We did love you, we really did. But now... Face your path." "If this is your last night.. We love you, Jin. We'll miss you a lot. Mail us if you can and have the time." I broke down. Mr Kazemaki, no, Dad had never told me those three words that meant so much. I cried on the floor and they ran to cheer me up. But it was no use. I loved them because they were my family. There was no way I could leave now. "Son.. Go and clean up. It's already.." He looked at the clock. "9. You should get a lot of sleep tonight." I nodded and wiped my tears. I did as he said and staggered to my room. A storm had brewed and I was scared.

Let..... me..... free.... I opened my eyes fearfully. I wasn't asleep. I heard that voice. "Child.. Of.... Deaath... Our baattle... approachees.... My eyes grew wide with fear. DIE! A strong wind blew out of nowhere, and I felt as though I was being binded. My moon night light was growing very faintly, as it was half on and half off. It gave off shadows of ropes. I screamed. I was afraid. Afraid of what was living in the shadows. I scrunched myself up in a corner. I turned on my night light. I may be too old for a night light, but with what was happening, it felt mandatory. I screamed again as thunder struck. Their after me! I thought frantically. I felt the shadows move again, as though being controlled. I screamed once more, but screaming words."Make it stop!" My night light of a crescent moon with stars shone brighter until I didn't feel the presence. I felt a little comforted, but still frightened. I know there is a man behind the scenes. I know he will be the one to destroy me. But I will stop him. Is the point of me leaving, useless now that I know that the man behind the scenes, Azura, is out to kill me wherever I go? I shivered and left the light on. The presence hasn't returned yet, so I felt it drove it away. "Azura... I will not fail as the first. I will destroy you and not myself. I will find the source.. and destroy you...." I dozed off after thinking aloud.

At 6 AM my alarm went off. Time to meet Konjii. I reluctantly got up. I cleaned myself, packed some clothes and food. I looked at the house. Somethings missing... I ran to the supply closet, looking for paper. I began to write my letter before taking off. Dear Mom and Dad,
I love you a lot. You know that right?? You will always be my mom and dad no matter what. At this time, I'm prepared to take off, but it did not feel right without a note. I love you so much, never forget your son, me. Jin Kazemaki. Or Kazuki. Either way they are similar right?! I... I'll miss you and I will write. Promise.
    Love your son, Jin.
I drew the best picture I could of a rose with my name in handwriting. It wasn't bad so I left it on the table. I took one last glance at the house, and left, ready for my destiny. I ran to Konjii's house because I could feel them moving. He answered the door, ready to leave. "I'm sorry Jin.. But thank you." He took me to his car, and we drove away. "Where... are we going?" He looked at me through the mirror and replied, "To Tokyo. To find our teammates." I fell asleep after remarking about how long it would take.

"Welcome... To Tokyo!" "Wow..." I looked around in awe. I could see the Tokyo Tower from where we stood. "I think.. I know where to find this one." "Did you.. see him?" He nodded and responded,"Not him.. but her." I blinked. "A girl is going to protect me..?!" He nodded. Konjii took my hand and led me through the crowd. "Look.." I looked up. Tokyo Tower stood before us, high and mighty. "Shes in a restaurant somewhere.." I pointed. "How 'bout that one?" He nodded. "Let's try it." We walked across the busy streets into Hanako's Noodle House.
