• I awoke under a full moon.
As I lifted myself from the grass, I wondered how I got here. At first, I thought it was my recurring nightmare again, but everything felt too real. The prickly grass, the cold breeze that made my nightdress billow out.
I scanned my surroundings. It was a huge field. Nothing but grass as far as the eye could see.
Gazing around, I never noticed the figure behind me. It grabbed my shoulder roughly and I screamed like there was no tomorow.
Shoving it off me, I sprinted across the field without a second thought.
I found an energy deep within me that kept me going for what seemed like miles.
I was sure I'd outrun the person, but I looked back to check. That was a huge mistake.
Behind me was a huge black figure, the body more like fog, and deep, red, burning eyes. It reached out with a long, tendril like arm.
I put on a spurt, running as fast as I could, but I was rapidly tiring, and the thing was keeping up easily.
I turned to face forwards and...
    THWACK!
I ran straight into a tree, which disapeared on contact.
Well thats not weird, I thought sarcastically, and where did that tree come from? I tried to scramble up, but the creature was upon me.
Underneath its eyes, the fog parted and revealed a mouth of thousands of teeth, which opened up into nothingness.
It wasn't black, it was just... nothing.
After that, I don't remember anything, only that now I am trapped in this Godforsaken field in this ghostly, foggy form, waiting.
