• I can't believe it! The first time I meet Leon's mom and I'm half naked trying to shove my tongue down his throat.

"Why don't we leave you to change, Raine," the woman I now knew as Mary-Anne said with an amused smile on her face.

Leon cleared his throat again, "I'll be right there.." The woman nodded and walked down the hall.

He turned to me when she got far enough down the hall and brushed my hair out of my face.

He leaned forward and kissed me lightly on the lips whispering, "You taste delicious." I smiled and he walked towards the door, "I'll leave you to change. Come down stairs when you're ready."

I waited till he closed the door to fall back on the bed sighing. I can't believe that just happened. I mean, I barely know this guy and already I'm all over him.

Shaking away those thoughts I grabbed a bra and t-shirt putting them on. Then checking my make-up in the mirror I ran to the stairs and stopped. Wait. How was I going to face his mother?

I blushed as I remembered the view she must of had of my breasts. No way, I thought and started to go back to my room.

"Is that you Raine?" Mary-Anne called up the stairs. Damn, so close. I walked down and saw her sitting in the living room with Leon and a man and woman I didn't know. The new woman had a bright shade of blonde hair but the same color green eyes as Mary-Anne and the man had bright red hair.

When I walked in Mary-Anne motioned for me to sit down. "How did you know I was at the top of the stairs..?" I asked.

She smiled, "I can read your minnd, dear." Before I could say anything else she added, "Don't worry. I saw nothing. Now, I want you to meet my daughter Pheobe and her life mate Bradly."

The girl Pheobe stepped forward and gave me a hug, "It's nice to meet you." Bradly simply nodded shaking my hand and said in a heavy irish accent, "Hello, lass."

I smiled awkwardly then sat down on a nicely furnished couch.

Mary-Anne leaned forward, "So, why are you here?" Leon opened his mouth to answer but she said, "All you told me is that you were visiting."

He half smiled, "Well, I would tell you if you quit reading my mind."

She laughed, "Sorry. Old habit." Mary-Anne motioned for him to go on.

He sighed heavily before saying, "Raine is the daughter of Satan who came to live on Earth. I asked her father if I could look out for her when I heard that Lucien was back and wanted Raine dead."

"Awe, that's so sweet. Trying to protect your life mate," Pheobe chippd in sitting next to me.

"I'm not.. his life mate," I mumbled.

Pheobe looked at me confused then turned to her brother, "I thought you said you couldn't read her, Leon?"

    "I can't," he stated simply.

She smiled, "Then you are his life mate."

Before I could object again Mary-Anne asked, "So, what are you going to do about the Lucien problem?"

Leon leaned forward, all business now, "Before Raine was attacked at the club I was able to talk to a friend of mine. He said that Lucien is running some kind of business. Selling weapons to rogue beings. Vampires, deamons, shape-shifters, you name it."

"So what are you suggesting me do?" asked Bradly, seeming interested now.

Leon shrugged, "I think we should try and get a location of where he is. And find out how we can take him down."

I listened as Leon and Bradly went back and forth over some plans but all ended in everyone either getting caught or dying. Which did not sound good.

Thinking for a moment I cleared my throat and said, "What if we pretended to buy whatever he is selling." Everyone stopped talking and stared at me. "Well, we could try and buy some of his high priced stuff that way he would get interested in us... and we could get close enough to get a location?" I shrugged, "I searched the web... And I might have called a friend who told me he is usually interested in the high buyers."

Leon smiled at me, "That's a good idea."

"But who would buy his stuff and how would we buy his stuff?" Bradly asked as his life mate walked over to sit on his lap.

Mary-Anne smiled victoriously, "I can take care of part of that. I'm sure my connections around the world know at least a little bit about what he's selling and how we can buy it." She patted my hand, "But let's not talk about this tonight. Why don't you guys go out or something? You look like you could use a break."

Pheobe jumped up and pulled me to my feet smiling widely, "My brother is going on a date with his life mate."

    Whoa, what?!

She pulled me towards the stairs bfore I could protest, "Come on, I know the perfect way to do your hair." I could hear Leon in the background laughing and as I was dragged up the stairs I turned to glare at him.

A date?! I don't know the first thing about a date.
