Myf picked up the girly phone on her girly night-table in her girly room she shared with her girly foster sister. She still can't believe she put up with this for two years. The only non girly things were her clothes. "What?" she said as she answered the phone. "What?" James mimicked “is that how you answer to me?". She sighed, "What is it James?” "You're on three way say Hi to Eric, Anastasia and Jane." James instructed. Myf said hi to Eric and the twins. All of the friends were orphaned and now are adopted.
"So where are we going to today?" Jane asked sharing the phone with her sister. "How about the Library?" Eric suggested. "No way, nerd boy." Anastasia said. "The fair is in town!" Myf said with fake excitement. "No, we can’t remember. James isn’t allowed in any more." Jane pointed out. James could feel the glare through the phone; he remembered scaring old people at the fair. "Ok... how about the mall?" he started “We can go terrorize the mall, make the mall cop cry, and scare the girls.". My rolled her eyes. "If we get banned I'm blaming you, James" Jane squeaked. “OK! Off to the mall!" Eric yelled. My sighed with depression, where did her friends inherit the stupid gene?
“GET OUT! GET OUT YOU STUPID KIDS!" a store owner yelled after the group. Eric was cracking up, "Oh my God! Did u see that?” While everyone laughed, Myf spotted a new bookstore. It was already going out of business. “Guys, I'm gonna take look at that place. Be right back." she said over their roaring laughs.
"Madeline's Mythological Bookstore" Myf read the sign on the store window. "Great, more crazies." she added. "Why, Welcome Myf Von Helson." the shopkeeper said. “Nice try but that’s not my last name." Myf told the old lady. The women smiled" Of Course you think it’s not your last name, your real Father-”. Myf cut her off," You knew them?” “Of course, they are still alive.” the women added. Myf blushed with happiness. Then a sad thought raced through her mind. “They didn’t want me? They never came looking for me?" she said as the blood raced away from her face. “Your father... you were his most prized possession, but they lived in a war-torn place. They couldn't expose you to that environment." The women said with true sympathy. Myf looked down. She hoped that wasn't a lie to cover the obvious truth, who'd want her as their daughter? A lot of people didn’t want her. The women read her expression, "You are obviously very smart, your real parents never wanted you.” Myf's face flushed with anger, and confusion. "There was only one person who really wanted you." The women started "He disappeared after he saved you, Oh! He left this for you.” She handed Myf a black book with a red shiny rose engraved on the cover. "How do you know all this?" Myf asked with a scared look on her sad face. "MYF C'MON LETS GO! THE MALL COP IS CHASING US!" Eric yelled through the glass window of the store. "Never mind them, whatever you do with this book do not write in it." the women warned Myf. Myf ran out of the bookstore and followed her friends. They used the off limits exit of the mall. “HURRY!" Jane squealed. They pushed the door open and found themselves on the street. A truck full of toxic waste wasn't too far from where the kids were standing. "MOVE IT!" Myf yelled to her friends. The truck skidded in a half circle and tipped over splattering the toxic everywhere. "Forget it just run!" James yelled running into the toxic. They all were covered in the toxic, Myf tripped and her hands became soar and green from the liquid. “Oh, I hope we don't mutate or anything." Anastasia squeaked. Myf still held the book tightly, she finally opened it and... nothing. All the pages were blank, "You are so stupid Myf Robinson." she told herself.
